This clock fits nicely over our antique drop down desk in our living room. The chime is nice and strong and keeps good time and rings the hours strong. It is far away from the bedroom as not to disturb a good nights sleep and its a great timekeeper for my wife's '20 minutes' afternoon nap on the nearby couch. The clock face is easy to read and the pendulum looks really nice behind the glass. We like the opening on either side of the pendulum which helps move it if necessary and the side openings prevent the chance of the pendulum banging the wood sides. ... show more

    • Nice clock, slight damage in shipment
The clock is very nice once I fixed the damage. When received the glass on the pendulum chamber was not attached and two screws holding the border around the clock face was loose and came out. I glued the tiny screws into the holes in the back of the clock and the glass to the inside of the chamber. Maybe for other orders the clocks should be checked for possible damage and packed more carefully before shipping. I do like the clock now. ... show more

At first I thought it was not going to work as a screw was missing and the other 3 screws which holds the face of the clock, have broken off. So now the left over screws would not fit. I got some new screws and that fixed the issue. The clock look very elegant. The sound is loud and clear. Packaging is not appropriate for this clock. The manufacturer needs to rethink the way they pack these clocks. You can't go wrong for the price. ... show more

    • Extremely Disappointed
This clock was a piece of junk! Screws were not aligned properly and every screw had to be either redrilled or had to use wood glue to hold the thing together when redrilling wouldn't work. Then after all that, the chimes do not work - at all. It keeps time and the pendulum works, that is the only good thing I ca say about it. I would have liked to send it back but couldn't because of the necessary wood gluing and redrilling. Amazon usually does much better than this. Truthfully, a total waste of money. ... show more

Clock came well packed. St-up was a little long, but everything worked well as long as you follow the directions.
