This helps my life partner get in and out of bed with more stability. It is stable, but I did have to use screws and run them into the frame to keep the rails from being wiggly. Assembly was easy, but I did have to make some modifications both to the bed and the rails to make them fit together properly, but that's because there's a lip that the mattress sinks into. Most people probably won't have that problem. The end result is that she has stable support where she needs it, it fits the bed perfectly, and I worry less about her getting in/out of bed on her own.

I just slide the base under the mattress and secure the straps, and it’s basically ready to use. It features three different-height handles with a curved design and anti-slip foam padding, making it comfortable to grip and hard to slip. For elderly people, it provides a reliable support when turning over at night or getting up to go to the bathroom, giving a clear sense of safety compared to slowly maneuvering without support. Our bed is a standard double bed, and by adjusting the legs and handle height, it fits well with the mattress, making it convenient to use without being too high or low. We got this bed rail for my grandma after she started feeling a little unsteady getting in and out of bed. The first night we set it up, I could tell she already felt more at ease just having something solid to hold onto. Setup didn’t take long. It slides right under the mattress and once the mattress is back in place, it feels secure. We adjusted the height to match her bed, which is on the thicker side, and the range made that easy. It lines up nicely with the top of the mattress so she doesn’t have to reach up or down awkwardly. The frame feels sturdy and well built. When she puts her weight on it to sit up or stand, it doesn’t wobble. That was really important to us. She likes to grab it slowly and steady herself before standing, especially in the morning. The 400 lb capacity gives me peace of mind that it can handle pressure without bending or shifting. The motion sensor light has actually been more useful. Assembly instructions are given in tiny print on 3x4 piece of paper. Even with a magnifying glass it was difficult to make out. One screw whole on one of the handles did not line up with the screw. Otherwise it looks sturdy and I was able to figure out how to assemble it. It appears that the parts on the instruction sheet are numbered but the parts are not.
