This has worked really well for my needs, but it’s important to go into it with the right expectations. At the end of the day, this is a soft, flexible storage bag—similar in feel to a good quality insulated or soft cooler-style bag. It does have a lock, and it works fine for what it is, but this is not meant to replace a hard safe or provide serious theft protection. It will help keep kids and casual or nosy access out, but it is not designed to stop someone determined to break into it. For me, that wasn’t the goal. What I wanted was a way to keep important items organized, protected and in one place, and for that it works very well. One of the best features is the interior. The divided sections and pockets make it easy to organize documents, keys and other important items so everything has a place and is easy to find when you need it. I’ve also found the flexibility to be a benefit. Because it’s collapsible, you can tuck it away or hide it more easily if needed, which can be its own form of security in certain situations. I used this on a family trip and it worked great. I kept all of our travel documents, passports, keys and other important items together—things people didn’t want to lose but also didn’t want to carry around. It stayed in our hotel room while we were out, and when it was time to head to the airport, everything was exactly where we needed it. I could also see this being useful for something like a cruise cabin setup. The zipper works well and overall it feels nicely made for the price. This is very sturdy, well-made product. I holds all manner of very important documents, like a home deed and abstract; documents that would be needed following a catastrophic fire. The organizer is also sturdy enough to hold heavy coin collections. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because, short of burning my house down, I cannot say the product would survive such a fire! I relied on the video the seller includes in their ad which shows a blow torch being held on the product It's rated to withstand temperatures far higher than a typical house fire would reach. Pros: interior has sections, dividers and plenty of pockets to organize items. There are both transparent (mesh) and solid pockets. Letter size documents fit well. Cons: unless you fill the bag, it will not stay up, making it hard to store upright or stacked. Material feels weird, like sticky. I don’t know if it has to be like that for it to be fire retardant. This document organizer is huge and thick. It can hold multiple folders , souvenirs, old credit cards/IDs and still have room for more! It's good quality (I tried to cut it with a boxcutter and it was resistant). Thankfully, I haven't had to test it's resistance capabilities regarding fire and water, but I don't have any doubts.
