The unit does shoot steam. The attachments are not good for carpet or upholstery. Its much smaller than I expected and the hose is not very long. It doesnt put out a large volume of steam. We air blowed near the power switches and vents, started working But stopped when the temperature was turned up more. Worked for one day. I'd give it 0 stars ---BUYERS BEWARE---

After a few weeks of use at my shop, it stopped working. Also, once you turn it on it shoots out steam continuously until you turn it off, there’s no trigger or button to control when it shoots steam out.
