As the title says. The lamp comes attached to/hanging from a wood block attached to a metal fixture, and overall felt like it wouldn't come apart even if a cat decided to hang on it. The clear/bare-filament style LED bulb that mine came with isn't particularly bright, but is a nice, cozy warm color. I ended up not being able to mount it as expected, and instead removed the fixture entirely and converted it to a hanging lamp. It currently hangs above our dining room table and creates a nice dim ambiance to eat and chat under, while still being bright enough to see the aforementioned cats in order to not trip over them and die. I quite like it. A word of warning: this lamp is potentially dangerous if used with an incandescent light bulb. The wires are extremely thin/undersized for anything but a low-wattage LED light. So if you were thinking to do that, uh...don't. Fortunately, LED bulbs have come far enough that you can get incandescent-like filament bulbs (I understand that this light comes with a boring multicolor opaque-dome bulb...such a pity) and have the best of both worlds: a warm, efficient light.

I am a huge fan of plug-in pendant lights because I'm unable to hardwire light fixtures in my barn and on my loft porch. These lights are so cool...and warm! I love the look and feel of the rope plug-in cord, which you can thread through the wooden arm to your liking. Also, the dimmer switch is a huge plus for modifying the mood and ambiance of a room or space. The cages fit nicely over the socket, making for a perfect webbing of light with an Edison bulb. These are really well-made pendant lights. The arm installation is easy to assemble and mount, too. A+

This wall sconce is great looking and adds a rustic look to our bedroom and also goes well with our baby crib decoration. The light bulb is nice and is an LED, so it is light saving and long lasting. You can dimm tree light using the little wheel in the unit that hangs down the cord. The cord is a nice brownish color that adds to the rustic look. There are two flaws or opportunities for improvement that I see: 1. Add a remote control so I can dimm the light from my bed instead of having to get up every time. 2. Make the wooden arm that attaches to the steel plate more sturdy. While I tightened it well, it still feels flimsy and I do not have 100% confidence it will be able to hold the light sconce. Otherwise the installation is pretty simple and easy to do. Overall, I would recommend this light sconce primarily due to the great looking design, LED bulb and ability to dimm the light. It would definitely be 5 stars if the items above were addressed.

I love this light! It looks great, works as it should and it was so easy to put it together. I have a spot in my room where I really need some light but the closest outlet is across the room. The cord in this light is long enough to reach to it, and any extra slack can be wrapped around the arm of the stand. The amount of drop can be adjusted also. This light gives me so many options. I plan to get more.

My teenager is turning their under-the-stairs closet into an office space for homework and art. This light is perfect for illuminating the small space. They were able to install it themselves (age 17) and said their only struggle was getting the screws lined up with the metal piece for mounting. I love the organic look of this lamp, and you can adjust how far it hangs by adjusting the cord. A light bulb was included and doesn't get hot very fast, so it's safe for late night study sessions or autistic hyper-fixations on the newest art project. The best part is that you don't need any electrical experience, just mount the light fixture with the included screws, and plug it in!

Tightening the inside nut to the arm of the lamp istelf was fiddly and tedious. I've installed a few of these recently and they all have the same issue: the arm to the lamp that attaches to the wall bracket is always a bit loose and tedious to tighten and keep straight. Otherwise, this is a fantastic lamp!

I usually like these shades and cords but this one had a bracket that needs to be attached to the wall. For this reason it limits the distance you can place the light from the wall. I prefer lights that don't include this restriction. If you're looking for a light that sits a few inches off the wall then this will work for you. The quality of these shades, cords, and switches are great. I have loads in my home and love them and their portability.
