Install was difficult, but this bad boy is heavy duty , extremely heavy duty !!!! Back to the install , the instructions are ok but and this is a huge but, when you get to the rear install put both upper corner pieces on an the rear cross bar , the. Install the lower corner bracket to the frame , if you don't do this you cannot connect everything ! Again this rack is built like a tank !!! The plastic knobs on the cross bars fill a little cheap but if they brake you could easily get something more heavy duty . This is cheaper on extreme terrain but I wanted fast, an nobody beats amazon shipping ;)!!!

Great Rack.mount it in my 2007 jk 4 door It took me about 3 hours to install with basic tools. looks sturdy and well made. Love the rugged look. On the down side. It rattles a lot on the road. I tried many things to lessen the noise so far notting, but it's a Jeep thing to rattle and have noise I guess

I like the rack and it will hold the canoe or a basket just fine. The install for 1 person took most of the day because the instruction are terrible. I had it mostly assembled 3 times before finally figuring out what was right and left and identfying the direction of main center tubes. Now that it is on and all tightened down it seems sturdy.

This rack is pretty good but I have some issues with it. PROS: looks fabulous strong useful for hauling cargo or kayaks adjustable bars to customize spacing. has built-in mounts for light bar on the front. Allows room for roof to be taken off and slid out from underneath the rack. Requires many more hands to help. CONS: You'll either need a custom bumper, or you'll need to drill holes in the stock bumper (I opted to drill holes, and now bumper is loose due to the 2nd bolt holes being used to hold on the actual roof rack. Makes ungodly amounts of noise. The connections are metal on metal, and clangs and rattles worse than anything I've ever heard in my life. Invest in some black silicone to seal the thing together. Rock chips have chipped the finish off the front bars. The knobs that adjust the bars on top strip out when tightened and were impossible to get back off. After removal I replaced them with a regular wingnut. "2 hour assembly" is really more like, 6. Be patient. All in all a good purchase. It makes my jeep look like a beast. Now to just get the new tires......

NOTE: The stock bumper WILL NOT WORK with this rack! It will not fit. Period. I knew this and ordered an aftermarket bumper. That being said, upon general inspection and unboxing, it looked good. I called my buddy and we started to install it. Instructions were generally straightforward, although there were a couple times we had to backtrack and remove things the instructions said to put on earlier. Eventually, everything was loosely installed and we started to tighten everything. However, the front left bar would NOT line up with the A-pillar mount bolts, there was a gap and the existing bolts were too short, so I had to go to the hardware store to get longer ones. So that's one ding. After it was completely installed and I drove for a couple days, one thing annoyed me...it squeaks like crazy! Every little bump and shimmy causes it to squeak. Very annoying. Second ding. Lastly, as I drove from Florida to Arizona using this rack (and 'matching' Barricade basket, which doesn't match), some of the glossy orange-peal paint had come off. This thing was less than a week old and the paint was already flaking off. Not good. Overall, it got me where I was going, but clearly the quality is lacking.

Great product !! Easy to assemble and very sturdy ... the only negative is the crossbar handles are plastic and tend to poplay off or strip out ... but that is an easy fix and this product is well worth the money !!
