I bought this for my 04 jeep tj. One of the front mounting bars has it's 2 brackets misaligned when they welded it. So that won't fit flush to bolt on. The bolt holes don't line up perfectly so the bolts will rub the plates. The back two brackets have their bolt holes way to small so lot of filing will be needed. The company only offered a refund instead of giving me a new bracket. And Amazon for some reason says a refund can not be processed. Also no basket on the market is designed for tube crossbar. They must be oval or rectangular for road safety. At least they included the screw.

Works Great! Silent!! Squeaks seems to be frequent complaint in other reviews. You have to keep in mind, if you mount to the frame in the rear and the "body" up front there will always be some twist and opportunity for noise. if you use the body mounts in the rear this is minimized. Adding black silicone to all the joints helps greatly. I drilled some holes in the bottom of the body mounts to let water out and using the rubber bumps against my hardtop strapped to the rear vertical posts attached by drilling a hole through the bumps and black zip ties to allow snugging up by sliding down and push up out of the way if needing to remove hard top. These surprisingly do a great job of stiffing up the rear portion and overall stiffness. I did have to use padded clamps to pull the cross bars down and apply the threaded knobs not wanting to chance twisting the plastic nobs off. This worked well and all the nobs are intact. I also used thin strips of the padding to line each of these attachments and decrease noise.

Great rack. Excellent build quality. It was packed, shipped well, and all the parts were in the bag. 4 days, order to arrival time, which is excellent considering this is heavy and shipping is free. Instructions were a little lacking, but any Jeep owner should be able to figure it out. Assembled / installed this alone in under 3 hours, and I wasn't in a hurry. The only room for improvement I could find (like other reviewers mention) was the knobs. I knew to be gentle with them, but I don't expect them to last very long. This is a tough rack but those knobs are toy-like. Barricade should make an accessory line for these racks. At $299, it's entry level price and still a solid platform. They could sell light bar and sport rack adapters, misc mounts, etc.

The Rock was solid, but the Bars were bent, causing one of my bars to stick out about a foot-and-a-half off the passenger side door. My holes that line up on the bar that you slide the bolts through we're not in the correct position I had to drill all new holes.instructions were very lacking. I'm installing this as I write this review I'm on 4 hours now trying to bind and align These Bars. Only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the quality of the paint and how tuff and strong the bars are.

Install was difficult, but this bad boy is heavy duty , extremely heavy duty !!!! Back to the install , the instructions are ok but and this is a huge but, when you get to the rear install put both upper corner pieces on an the rear cross bar , the. Install the lower corner bracket to the frame , if you don't do this you cannot connect everything ! Again this rack is built like a tank !!! The plastic knobs on the cross bars fill a little cheap but if they brake you could easily get something more heavy duty . This is cheaper on extreme terrain but I wanted fast, an nobody beats amazon shipping ;)!!!

After much research and debate I decided to go with this rack. I own a 2014 Jk Unlimited sport. Stock bumpers. Soft top. I wanted something that would leave me easy access to my soft top and still have a rack for my kayak. The installation of this rack was fairly straight forward. The kit they send you has 2 sets of adapters for the rear mount. The ones I used where for the body mounting since I have stock bumpers. ( you have to drill 2 holes on both sides ) you have to take out the 4 screws holding the tail light in and mount the bracket inside the body. The kit also came with body plugs so if you ever get after market bumpers and decide to mount the rack in the frame you can plug these holes with no body filler. My chief complaint about this rack which I was concerned about when I bought it are the nobs for the quick removal of the cross Bars. 4 out of the 8 were broken on arrival and the other 4 are barley working. For some reason they used Teflon lined lock nuts just epoxied into the thin plastic nob. So when you tighten it to the Teflon and apply any pressure the nut snaps out of the nob and is a pain in the butt. Usless garbage. I am still looking into a different method of quick removal. I currently have them all with nuts and bolts. ( not quick and easy to remove which is the whole point of the rack.) The directions where poor. I would not recommend this if you are not somewhat mechanically minded. Overall the construction and quality is decent. If I figure out a way to make this rack function the way it was advertised I will love it. But this seems to be a problem with a lot of the racks like this, be it from any manufacturer.

Easy to install and great look. It makes some noise when driving over 30 miles per hour and I felt it deep in my heart when I had to drill my jeep but it was expected. Very good product and quality.
