I enjoyed building the different models this one makes. I ended up ordering my son a similar one for Christmas. The only recommendation I could give is for assembling a different robot when you already have the stickers applied, if you don't know which piece is which you might end up with the finished product having the stickers in the wrong place. Perhaps in the instructions the stickers should be applied as you get to the piece, so if you've disassembled the bot you know which one to put back in that spot. Awesome product. Be prepared to spend literal hours building this, but if that's what you and/or your kid are into, this is such an enjoyable toy. My son was ecstatic watching me build this (he doesn't have the fine motor skills yet) and it was such a learning experience for him as he watched me follow each step and seeing how it all went together. I bought this for my 13 year-old grandson, who is "typical" of modern kids. Within 10 minutes, he was already getting antsy and said, "do we really have to do all of the add on stuff? All we need is the tracks." He understood the kit better than I did. All of the "doodads" serve no purpose. The wheels and tracks can be built within a few minutes and it's ready to drive. The illustrations lead one to believe the kit does more than what it actually can do. The only thing motorized is the tracks. Forward, reverse, steering. That's it. I think it was probably a waste of money, but the kit is well made. Important! The box shows ages 6 and up. The assembly of the "doodads" is far, far too complicated for young kids. I struggled with interpreting the instructions myself, and I deal with equipment regularly. ... show more
