Product says it is for the MX8 but this will also fit the MX6. Bought for my Zodiac MX6 upon some research advising of some parts to replace as the unit was moving slower than it should. It should be noted I bought this and replaced along with the bearings as the repair video suggested to just replace both at the same time while you had it disassembled so I cannot confirm if just the motor made an impact or not by themselves, but by replacing the bearings and motor unit it did make my unit start moving as it should. ... show more

If your Zodiac MX8 is not climbing the walls like it used to, get one of these. It`s easy to install/youtube videos. Look at the two buckets in the ladder. To bad its programmed unwisely, It spends a lot of its time doing 360 deg.turns, what i call sit and spins. Wasting time when it could be moving along cleaning. They need to redesign the direction control device. I would have gotten something else if knew this. ... show more

    • Worked like a charm, the sweeper is back to normal operation.
The original part only lasted 9 months, hopefully, I don't have to replace it every 9 months.

Old mx8 elite engine was worn. Bought this engine and it’s now moving fine. Lots of parts to these cleaners, though they are not cheap they are easy to replace. Glad my mx8 is up and running!
