I replaced an old log lighter that was basically just a pipe with a bunch of holes drilled in it. It worked but it was such a natural gas hog. The flames were very orange and not as hot as blue flames. This log lighter has two adjustable tabs That are used to adjust the air fuel ratio. Closing the tab off creates an orange flame, Opening the tab creates a very concentrated blue flame Which works great to ignite the firewood. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of good information listed when I purchased this product. One question I had is that it looks like you have to buy caps for the threaded ends. Nope, They have a plug pressfitted in the ends. I really like this log lighter assembly. Seems to be a nice quality, adjustable and the right price . ... show more
