Quick and accurate. The backlight allows for easy temp reading. I appreciate the size and info on the tool that displays cooking temps for all types of meat/protein.

    • The magnets are bad. About a degree off in accuracy.

I bought this to replace one that was almost identical but a different manufacturer. It lasted several years and the magnets were good. This one seems to be decent in terms of detecting temperature (It's about a degree off) but it's a little slower than my other one was to register the temp. It's not instant, but maybe 5-10 seconds or so for an accurate reading. The magnets on this one won't even hold it's own weight. I was able to disassemble my old one, remove the batteries and glue them to the outside of the case for this one. It's a cheap fix that seems to work... it wasn't worth returning and now it's a lot better than it was. There are plenty of other similar thermometers for around the same price so I wouldn't buy another one of these. ... show more
