Hands-down, the best wireless thermometer I have ever bought! Over the last decade I have purchased a dozen meat thermometers searching for the perfect one to use for the Thanksgiving turkey. Update: Customer service facilitated troubleshooting to see if the device was indeed broken. Upon following some easy to read steps and instructions we rectified the situation and we continue to be happy with our MEATER Plus. This thermometer was great,worked for what we needed it for and my husband loved it. Then it just stopped working! We had it less than 2 years. In my opinion something this expensive should last over 2 years.

I like the convenience it provides in that we don't have to continuously monitor the food in our smoker. It seems to be very accurate in that we haven't taken anything off of the smoker that was over or under done. It's easy to use, clear, easy to read graphics; basically quite intuitive. I wish the range was better. We seem to lose connection when we're only like 20 feet away from it. I'd rate it a 5 if the range was better.

Does exactly what I wanted it to. In fact, even better than I expected. It guides you on when to flip the steak, and then when it's finished. You can save your common cooks. One issue is that the oven reduces the range to basically the nearby counter. So, I sent a suggestion to allow the phone on the counter to send notifications to other phones. I had an old phone that I left there, and I had my current phone with me Turns out, tha featuret was already there. And, my interaction with tech support was very pleasant. They actually read my emails, and were engaged in the conversation. Two small issues. One is that it has a max temp of 500 F, I think. That sounds high, but it can happen in a gas oven on broil. The other is when cooking more than one steak. The probes are identical. They sell little metal clips, to tell them apart. But they don't sell them here on Amazon. And the clips fall off pretty easily. I'd like lower profile clips, maybe using color instead of numbers. Recommended
