Avalon 3 Temperature Self Cleaning Stainless Steel Bottom Loading Water Cooler with Child Safety Lock is made with an innovative stainless steel body. It offers a choice of 3 water temperatures. The easy-to-use push button spouts make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press the temperature button of choice and allow the water to flow from the given spout. The machines highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. The hot faucet is hot enough to cook one's tea or coffee or any other steaming hot beverage at approximately 185° F. Due to the extremely hot water, we've added a child safety lock on the hot water faucet. We have incorporated a nightlight that can be switched on from the back of the unit. This will make filling up your cup at night so much more simple and easy. The dispensing area is 12x3x10 inches with 9 inches of space below the spouts. This will accommodate most large cups or bottles. There is a removable drip tray at the bottom of the dispensing area to catch any drips or spills. This water cooler is bottom loading with a cabinet to hold 3 or 5 gallon bottles. The water is pumped from the bottle through the machine. We have incorporated a self-clean ozone function which will automatically clean the machine's water tank with the injection of ozone by the press of a switch. There is also an empty-bottle indicator that will light up when the bottle needs to be replaced. The water cooler is UL listed and complies with all standards of Energy Star. The unit dimensions are 41x12x13 inches.

She was drinking tap water for years and never drank enough but now that I got her this dispenser, she finally drinks enough water. She loves that it has the hot setting so she can have tea & you can turn on and off via the switch in the back so it won’t use as much electric if you don’t need it. She said setup was simple and she has had zero issues with it (she’s had it about 3 months now.) I’ve used it whenever I go over to her house and the noise is not bad at all. So far it’s been great. Assembly was simple. Noise level? Have not noticed. Hot water is hot, cold water is cold. For the money it’s a great buy. And looks more expensive then the other brands. Hot and Cold water came out 15 minutes after install. Update: my unit stopped cooling. The pump was still working, hot water was still hot. The Snowflake light was on. I contacted Avalon cause it states to do so. When I did, they told me I needed to contact Amazon since it was fulfilled by Amazon. “Kinda contradicts” what they say on large stickers on the water dispenser. Amazon was great to replace the unit and easy to work with. Thank you Amazon. So this is my second water dispenser in less 5 months of ownership. ... show more

This broke after 1.5 years. The water line freezes so the water can't dispense. I hired someone to try to fix it and you have to unplug and plug it in over and over to get line to un-freeze. Then it just totally stopped working one day. It's an absolute piece of crap. It's sad they are building products to just end up in garbage dump instead of something that works many many years. ... show more

As someone who LOVES cold water, and living in a city with our quality trap water, this purchase is easily my favorite. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and quiet! We haven't used the hot water feature very much yet as it's the hottest part of the summer, but the cold water option is tested regularly. You can turn off the hot and cold features individually. It takes about a half hour or so for the hot water to get hot enough for noodle soup, and about the same for the cold water to get cold. Once the "change soon" light comes on, we can usually get another 3 or 4 cups of water through the cold tap, but it's room temp at that point. Also, it's nice and quiet. Most of the other reviews are spot on when it comes to this water dispenser. My family loves the convenience of having hot, cool or cold water at their fingertips. We drink a lot of water in our house, so it only made sense to purchase a water dispenser. I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars only because it can at times get a little noisy. I'm assuming it's just the refrigeration component inside, but the convenience outweighs the slight humming noise. ... show more

Shipping by UPS was 3 days sooner than expected but UPS needs to be more careful with consumers orders. Box was damaged with large hole and crushed corner, but contents were fine. Cooler is sleek looking, and water is very hot. I did a finger test on hot water and OUCH. Be careful. The child safety latch on the hot water button was well thought out. Setup was very easy. Cold water is cold but doesn't seem to be as cold as my gallon jug in the fridge. I read reviews on everything before I buy it and bought this based on the good reviews on Avalon's customer support and their reputation of repairing or replacing a defective or damaged product. The cooler cabinet could be a little taller but is fine the way it is. Avalon sells a 10-inch plastic molded base for the cabinet but at a little over $70 with tax and shipping that's somewhat pricey. I will be using some scrap 2x6, sanding, staining, and varnish then attach my base to the bottom of cooler. As far as the very few bad reviews. People need to understand that anything manmade is subject to fail and at some point, and it will. If it is bad right out of the box or 6 months down the road it appears that Avalon will make it right. After 6 months the cold water stopped working. After a little over a year, it stopped working altogether. We bought a new one of the same model and within two years had the same problems. Had to have original shipment replaced because was damaged by USPS during shipping. Replacement was received much faster and in great shape. The hardest part of setting up this water cooler was the unpacking. I really don't know what some are talking about when they say it's noise level is loud. The only time I hear it is when it's drawing water up from the bottle, which is pretty fast and not obnoxiously loud as far as I can hear. If the tv is on, I don't hear it. The water temps are great. I really love the self cleaning option, especially while dealing with the pandemic. This is my 5th water cooler over 20+ years and also my favorite. I'd love for Avalon to mfg nugget ice machines. ... show more
