    • Good Looking Eggs -- Like The Real Thing
This is a batch (technically, anyways) of wooden painted eggs. They can be used for decoration or for trying to get your hens to be "broody" as a stimulation/instinct driver. These eggs have a good weight (so won't easily blow away) and look like the real thing. Very nice!

I have a couple chickens in my small backyard flock who tend to peck the eggs they lay. These eggs are realistic enough that when they peck them, they get discouraged from egg pecking, because they're hard and impossible to crack or eat. I'm hoping that, over time, this will solve the problem and, so far, it does seem to be working. I'd recommend this for hens that lay brown eggs like my RI Reds. ... show more

These are definitely fake eggs. To the snakes eye from a distance, they look real but it’s easy to tell once touched that they’re fake. I expected there to be a little more weight to them. Overall, they’re fine. Hoping they get the chickens to start laying in their nesting boxes now!

These came lightly packed--in a bubble envelope and ready to drop into the hens' nesting boxes to encourage laying and them maybe be interested in using just one nest box--and yelling at each other all morning long! ;) A "large" to "extra-large" egg size and shape. A glossy finish that is easy to clean. Light. Wooden, so unlikely to crack or break like the ceramic eggs we used in the past... that all cracked and then broke. ... show more

We have all new, young chickens that seem slow to become laying hens... so this is my first time to use "fake eggs". I must say that they are actually beautiful! To me, these wooden eggs are a good match for size, shape, and apparent texture to many of the eggs I have harvested in the past. From prior reviews, they should get these new hens laying in their nests, when they are ready to do so. If you don't raise backyard chickens, these eggs would be ideal for many country themed decorations, and of course very sturdy for any age Easter egg hunters...
