  • Well build.
I love how easily the doors opens. Very well built and easy to use and to install. The camera work well as well. It really solid and safe to use.

  • love the app
The setup was straightforward, and the included instructions were clear. The solar panel keeps the 5000mAh battery charged well, even with a few cloudy days here and there. The real standout feature is the 1080P HD camera. I can check on my chickens anytime via the app — whether I’m at work or out of town. The night vision is surprisingly clear, and motion alerts give me extra peace of mind against predators. The remote and app control functions are seamless. I love being able to open or close the door manually from my phone, but the timer function is accurate and reliable, so I rarely need to interfere. My hens go in and out comfortably, and the motor runs smoothly and quietly. ... show more

  • Easy to install and use!

Impressed with this automatic chicken coop door! The door opens and closes smoothly, and the timer and light sensor options make it incredibly convenient.

  • Unreliable bad connections
Color: Rose Gold
Disappointed. The app takes what feels like a year to load anything. The Internet connection should work but the session times out constantly. The icon that tells me of the door is open or closed which is the main reason I bought this rarely shows up so I never know if it closes. I tried to set the timer for door open and closing and it responded an hour late to open and an hour early to close which makes zero sense. I got this because my old one stopped working. Now I am concerned that it won't work or it will lock one of my girls out in the run the whole night to be eaten by racoons. Physically the setup was fine and easy. However connecting initially was terrible and the directions very confusing. Will likely be returning. ... show more

  • AiMQnLe Automatic Chicken Coop Door with HD 1080P Camera
UPDATE 02/25/2025: The PIR sensor on the camera (the one that's supposed to sense movement and take a photo or set off an alarm) doesn't work. After checking weeks and weeks worth of photos, the camera "sensor" appears to just take 2 photos every 2 minutes, like clockwork. That's it. I tested it pretty thoroughly, and the camera never sensed me walking in front of it, it didn't sense chickens, it didn't sense any of our barnyard animals walking by. And if you have notifications set up, it also sends you a notification every two minutes. If a fox happens to be exactly in front of the camera when it happens to take a photo, and you also happen to have your notifications on and are checking them every single time, yeah, you'll be able to see it and scare it away. But this door is supposed to be a motion sensor and it's not. The constant photo taking runs down the battery, and then the chicken door neither opens nor closes. You can buy a regular automatic chicken door for around $30 on Amazon, so there is no point to spending 5 times that on this door, because it doesn't have the features that it promises. I'm baffled by the other positive reviews. I'm not sure if the other reviewers for this door are actually using the intended features, or if I just got a crummy door. Either way, I definitely don't recommend it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had this door installed and have been using it over a month now. I wanted to give it a fair trial because it's pricey for a chicken door. There are good things I like, but also quite a few drawbacks. First, some features work; some don't. I already had an automatic chicken door on a timer which was great, but I wanted one with a camera and some way to deter foxes, which are a big problem in my rural area. The biggest challenge for me was getting Wi-Fi to my chicken house and getting the signal stable enough to keep the door reliably connected. Clearly this is going to depend on where your coop is located, but for me, my coop was far enough away to require quite a bit of finagling and using a second router as well as a Wi-Fi extender. Note that there are 2 ways to connect this door to Wi-Fi: the door actually has its own built in signal, which is interesting. That means if you don't have Wi-Fi at all, you can still set it up and use the app if you're within about 10 feet of the door. The second method, where you connect the door to your home Wi-Fi network, is probably what most people want to do, and that's what I did, which allows you to use the app anyplace, anywhere. If you've got the signal, you can connect it. The camera is good, in terms of the image. I can jump on the app and look at a live view most anytime (although not 100%) and it's pretty cool, to be honest. I feel like I'm farming in the future. The solar panel for charging is also fine, although twice now it's run out of batter (from the camera taking too many photos) and when that happens, the chicken door won't open, but more importantly it won't close. I live in a very sunny area, so it's a little concerning that the door is draining the battery power to the point where it won't work. The door also has a microphone and talk back option, which is...not great, but technically works. It also has an alarm that you can manually set off if you see something and want to scare it away from the door. There is a motion sensor that turns on automatically at night (I think? Or perhaps when I close the door? I'm not 100% sure) and it will take a photo of "movement" during the night and also set off the alarm if you have it set that way. This feature does not really work; it seems to just randomly take photos. So the door has a lot of cool features for a chicken coop door but they're not terribly good or reliable. But here's all the negative stuff: 1. The instruction booklet is terrible. I think at this point, with any device like this, I expect an extremely poorly translated guide, but this one really takes the cake. Once you do manage to get everything set up and connected, good luck trying to figure out any errors, or what the app buttons do. The pictures in the booklet of the app screens are quite different from the app itself, including the descriptions of the different features in the app, and what the options do. It really doesn't explain anything. Sometimes it says, "Go to page xxx for error messages or troubleshooting" but there is no page xxx. It has buttons labeled and explanations that don't actually exist on the app. It's just really sloppy all around. Prepare to be frustrated with that. 2. The door itself is small, at least compared to all the other chicken doors I've ever used or seen. My chickens can still go through mostly without issues (and they were used to an automatic door already), but I do have 2 roosters that definitely have to scrunch to get through. This concerns me because if they were ever rushing to get back into the chicken yard (like to get away from a fox), this would be a problem and slow them down or injure them as they try to get through. 3. The door does not appear to have any sort of sensor that stops it from closing if there's an obstacle. I've tested it several times with my hand, and when it's closing, it just keeps closing. I do not like this at all. I haven't had any issues yet (like any automatic chicken door, it closes pretty slowly), but chickens aren't known to be the smartest animals. It would be fairly easy for one to get feathers or foot stuck and trapped (and injured). 4. The app itself is absolute TRASH. It's one of the worst apps I've ever used. It feels and works like it was put together in one day, and also just feels scammy, like it has access to everything on my phone and is collecting that info to send back to wherever, because it certainly doesn't feel like it was designed to control the door. When I first started using it, there was a little door icon on the main page of the camera, that would show if the door was opened or closed at that moment. This was so cool! You could easily double-check if it had closed as intended from the timer. But that door only shows up maybe 40% of the time. You have to log in/out and open/close the door to get it to show up again. Also, the camera and sensor, which I was SO excited about, is not adjustable. This means it takes a photo of EVERYTHING and sends it to your phone. Last night (02/11), it took 215 photos. 215!!! I looked at every single image, and there is absolutely no difference in any of them. Why is it taking photos? A bug flying in front of the camera? A change in light? A reflection on the snow? I don't know. But it certainly wasn't being triggered by anything visible to the human eye. Plus, the camera sensor is either on or off. You can't adjust the sensitivity. If you want to use the setting that sets off the alarm every time the camera "senses" something and takes a picture, it would be going off literally all night. I guess that's fine if you're rural and far away from neighbors, but it's certainly loud enough for houses close by to hear it. It's also pretty distressing to the chickens as well, hearing that all night. I also still get occasional notifications from the app even when it takes a photo, even though I have turned off notifications, which is just annoying. Also, if you want to delete any of the hundreds of photos it takes every night, you either have to do all of them at once, or delete them one by one. You can't long press and select several photos at once to delete. That means that out of those 215 photos, if there was an actual image in there I wanted to keep, I would have to manually select and delete 214 other photos. And because it's taking SO many photos all night, the battery runs down. I have a "low battery warning" each morning, even on battery saver mode. That's been fine so far (very sunny every day), but as soon as we have a cloudy day or two, I think the entire door will stop working. You have the option to manually charge the battery, but that's just not something I'm willing to do - remove the battery, plug it in the charge, put it back in, and then reconfigure the entire frigging door every day. I'm being so detailed because I suspect I got the door for a lot of the same reasons other people would get the door (camera, solar charging, an alarm deterrent, and an app), so I wanted to be upfront about how it was working in a real farm setting. If you're just looking for an automatic chicken door that you can put on a timer, this door would be fine. But, you can also get a door like that for about 1/5 the price of this one. If you're looking for all the bells and whistles, you should consider the drawbacks of these features in actual use. I'm still using the door and still appreciate some of its features, but it's just not as flashy in practice as it appears in the product listing. ... show more

  • Great door with camera but a little shorter than the standard size
I got this because something has been tracking chickens and trying to get into the coop. I was going to replace/ switch out my current door but this door is smaller than the current door so I can't fit it in without modifications. I still wanted to try so set up the camera function and rigged the door so it would just set up/ against coop to try out the camera and this is pretty awesome. The camera takes clear pictures of any movement by it and I saw possums and a fox. This is charged by solar so no need to worry about batteries. I deducted a star due to door opening, but it is a solid extra you never knew you needed! ... show more
