I like the design, easy to install and figure out how to work. But the coop is under the shade of a large tree and the solar timed feature is just not working as well for me. But when it’s full under full sun, it works great! There is also a manual tune feature if there is not enough Sun. You can use the buttons on the solar panel to open and close the doors without having to go into your run. It’s a good size for the chickens and haven’t had them hit by the door.

We’ve had these coop doors (2) for about 2 months and they are functioning exactly as expected. We chose this coop door because we did not want a door that extended vertically along the coop wall. Our coop design did not have space for that. The hens and even the roosters can fit through this door. Installation was pretty straightforward. We installed them into 1/2 inch hardware cloth. It’s great not having to wake up early and be home early to open/close the coop doors. Full disclosure: I am being compensated for this review but the review is truthful.

I purchased this Automatic Chicken Coop Door nearly three months ago and it has been very reliable and secure! We have raccoons and feral cats who would love to get into our coop at night, but they don't stand a chance of getting through this door! I have tried both the light sensitive mode and the timer feature and the door has consistently functioned like it should to keep my girls safe. I would strongly recommend this door as it is reliable and secure! I should also mention that the customer service is fantastic! I had trouble programming the timer on the 1st door I ordered (realizing later that it was a user error😳) and returned the door for a replacement. The company (hotrose) was prompt to replace the door with no questions asked.

Installed great. I think the chickens love it as much as we do because they're not waiting on us to 'close the door' at night and let them back out in the morning if we get tied up on other things. Love the automated feature and the sturdiness from predators.

We finally got chickens to accompany our cows, donkeys, and goats. So they needed a way in and out of their roost/coop. Looked at several different variants of automatic doors. This one had all the basic options I wanted and was at a good price. Install was a simple 20-30 minute process. We chose to install against a 1/2" piece of plywood that blocked a larger opening and sealed the coop. The included install hardware worked perfectly. The solar panel and power cord were also easy to assemble/install and the cord was plenty long enough to install where sun was available. The instructions are easy to understand. I do not think you'll have any problems with this one, and you'll be happy like we are.

I was so excited to get my product and installed it immediately. The operation instructions are very vague, and i'm hoping that the unit works as expected, However, I've noticed the enclosed remote control does not work at all. Amazon customer service told me to return the entire unit which I am unwilling to do as it will leave a big gaping hold in my chicken coop. There is absolutely no way to get technical guidance or customer support from the company that sells this product, So because of that I am giving it a one star review. If it works like it is supposed to, I would have given it a 5 star review. Because it seems sturdy and well made.
