    • Decent door, but a bit complicated to program
This door is different that some of the others on the market as it works more as a roll-up door than just a rigid piece of plastic or metal that slides up and down. Its been reliant on operating at the set times, assuming the clock is for the correct time to begin with. I did find the directions for programming a little bit confusing and thought they could be a bit more detailed. I have not used the supplied solar panel as its winter time so sunlight isn't always the best right now, but do plan to use it once spring comes. I did manage to rig it up to be plugged into a power source and haven't had any issues. The one thing I didn't like was that the plug to connect the control panel is relatively exposed. When we mounted the door, my husband was able to get it mostly covered by some PVC trim, but work to make that a bit more weather proof would be a good improvement. It comes with a paper template to help determine mounting dimensions which was incredibly helpful! The only quirk that I have with it is when it closes. It will go all the way down and then pop back up halfway like it hit an obstacle but then after a few seconds it tries to fully close again and is fine. Not sure how to fix/adjust that, but since it does eventually close all the way I'm not overly concerned. Again, that could be something explained better in the instructions for future revisions. I would recommend this door to friends or family, as I have had much better luck with it functioning appropriately and reliably compared to those doors that use the typical rigid piece that moves up and down. ... show more
