It has been almost another 2 weeks since I received & replaced this unit and I cannot LOVE THIS enough. It never really worked. I want to program it to open at 10am and close at dusk when the light gets dark. To program it at 10am I have to wait till 10am and then go hold a button down for 3 seconds. That was a pain as I would miss the times the first couple of tries so I have to wait till the next day to try and hold the button. Lol To open and close at dawn or dusk seems to be easier . Just press and hold that button for three seconds . So the door never closed at dusk so I used the remote to close it. Then it opens randomly at night! (Usually within the hour after closing it with the remote). And YES it’s dark so no false openings from light . But it’s set to open at certain time so the light should have nothing to do with it. I’m a fairly tech savvy person but either I’m getting something wrong in the programming of it OR maybe it’s defective?? Anyways it was the least expensive of auto door openers so there’s that . Buyer beware! Maybe the company can give me some advice or a replacement unit.

The media could not be loaded. Great buy! I charged the solar box with a power bank for the initial charge. I will be adding this to my coop to replace the one we have now. I like this design because you don’t have to worry about the door getting stuck on something as it slides up when it’s time to open. It’s larger than my other also, making it for comfortable for my chickens to go in and out. Easy and intuitive to install. The safety feature works as you see in the video. Seems durable & good quality.

Really happy with this solar chicken coop door! It was super easy to set up—only took about 10 minutes with the screws they gave. It runs on solar power but also comes with a USB-C cable to charge it. I made sure to fully charge it before using like they said, and it’s been working great. I love that it opens and closes by itself with the timer or the light sensor. Makes it way easier, especially when we’re not home. No more running out in the cold or rain to open the coop! The size is perfect for my chickens, and it would work for ducks or rabbits too if they’re not too big. The door is strong and made from tough stuff, so it holds up even in bad weather. We had some snow and it still worked fine. One thing I really like is the anti-pinch feature. If a chicken is in the way, the door will stop and bounce back, so you don’t have to worry about them getting hurt. It is a good value for the money I spent. All around, this door makes life easier. The battery holds a charge for a long time, and I don’t have to worry about it if the power goes out. Would definitely recommend to anyone with chickens!

I am sure this is an otherwise fine product, but I received a used one! It was dirty, dinged and did not work. I blame the vendor, The Fofnon Store, more than the manufacturer, but I can say that it did not work. They flat out sent me literal garbage!! I am still appalled.

This works well. It has been a week and there are no problems. We use the light sensor vs the time clock and the open/close timing is fine. Of course, the term bird brain is well represented by chickens so we do look to make sure one if our knuckleheads isn’t locked out. So far so good, but we may revert to the clock method if the chickens are faked out by the door. The remote needs a second push sometimes but we don’t use it often so it isn’t a big deal. Also, as the photo shows, we installed our door in a wire mesh wall and needed to frame the opening to mount the door. The solar cell/battery cord isn’t that long so choose your door location with this in mind.

Very quiet. I’ve never had to charge it cause the solar panel does plenty fine on its own. I closed the door on my hand to see what it feels like if a chicken were to get in the way and it didn’t hurt at all. It’s closed on my chickens a time or two now and they were just fine. They did squawk a little haha, but it’s not pushing the door down hard enough to hurt them. I think they understand now to not stand in the doorway when it’s time for bed. Best of all, I never have to let them out, or shut them in. It’s especially nice if I go out of town, because I know they’ll be fine without me.

The media could not be loaded. I really love this watering bowl; it’s easy to clean, it’s metal, it holds a lot of water and it’s always nice, cool and clean for my two boys. It’s quiet, it El has a view port so you can tell when it needs to be refilled.. but my mom brought up the burning question that changed how I look at this watering bowl. If the power went out, my boys no longer have any water they can drink. I’m in Utah and it can get up to 110 degrees outside, so if the power went out my house is going to heat up very fast. Because almost all the water drains down in to the container below.. 98% of the water is inaccessible to my dogs. If I weren’t home they would have nothing to drink. I now look at this product as faulty because of this and I’m going to have to leave another bowl of water for my boys if I go anywhere.
