We picked up the Autel MX900 and have been really happy with it so far. We tested it on a 2006 diesel plow truck, a 2007 Honda CR-V, and a 2022 Nissan Armada, and it worked well on all three. It’s fast and gives you more detail than the last one we owned. It’s just like the more expensive one our relative uses in his shop, but much less $$! My fiancé’s only “complaint” is kind of wishing he had went with the wireless version. So far he wouldn’t have needed it, but then he starts to think about the future and is like well if I wanted to…. We are very happy with it! There is one thing that we were not able to find and it was for the oil pressure data on the plow truck, so there’s a bit of a learning curve. We know it’s got low oil pressure and aren’t using it until it’s fixed, but it seemed a good spot to demo this as there are so many codes currently coming through it. Our son has an automotive shop & has been mentioning maybe borrowing it for this or that. That tends to mean permanently borrow, so we are trying to keep it from leaving our hands because this scanner has gone above and beyond what we’ve had in the past and what we were expecting it to be. Did I mention the case? Wow! That was an awesome first impression. I’m not posting pictures of the case because several other people have. Such premium packaging, very easy to use. Connects very easily with many model options to choose from. Comes in a hard shell case that protects the device. Tablet isn’t laggy and works well. Scans for codes extensively compared to others. Works like a dealership device.

This scan tool fills in where the others can’t. Between the auto vin function. Hot functions like service life reset and TPMs functions. It’s a very good all around scan tool that out shines others in multiple areas. Shipping was super fast and the seller was amazing. Will post videos on next few vehicles. ... show more

I like the tool for the most part. The cost is decent and autel tech support has been good. My biggest disappointment is that the map and baro sensors read in psi instead of volts on the live data screen. I've been reading it as a voltage reading for 16 years at the dealer. I'm going to have to figure out the psi reading. I've used map value to determine if a vehicle needs a valve adjustment for years. Mind you I was an Acura tech for years so I'm talking about Honda/Acura V-6s. It is a nice tool all in all though. I was also informed by tech support that the maxisys I bought though Amazon did not originate from the USA so although he was able to take care of a couple issues I had he did say there are some limitations to what they can do. Don't know if it's true or not. He did fix my issue other than the map/baro issue. It's with all maxisys. We have a 908 at the shop and it also reads in psi ... show more

I purchased this unit 2 years ago, What I like about this unit is it doesn't just give you code, it provides troubleshooting procedures. I also liked the fact that it does active monitoring and testing of components, you can save/print data for later review. My main uses have been driveability issues and working on ABS brakes systems. This unit also does diagnostic and programming for TPMS systems. The cost for the updates is reasonable, not like the scanners from the white tool truck that comes around professional shops. You do not have to update the database every year, I only update it when I get a new car! 100% satisfied with this machine ... show more

This device has made my hobby working on my cars so much more easier! It has great battery life. It has made it much easier for me to diagnose my car, I can save the data and record it in the tablet.
