I purchased this unit (MK808TS) in August 2022, it came with one year of free updates. I bought it for personal use. I went to use it in January 2024, but to my surprise, it didn't work. Come to find out I have to pay for a yearly subscription for it to work. Of course, they did not have that in the description of the one I bought. If I had known that I would not have bought it. Perhaps that is by design! I paid $684 for a unit that will not work after the first year without buying a yearly subscription. Customer service told me it would work if the software didn't get corrupted. Believe me, your software will be CORRUPTED and you will have to pay! They did not have that in the description of the unit I bought. You have to dig to find it. I am OCD when it comes to the care of my tools and my unit is like new but guess what it doesn't work because it is corrupt. VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!! Q: Just wanting to know how much is the yearly subscription on mo808ts A: Autel official price of one year update for MK808TS is $295. Kindly be noted that there is a one-year free update for the tool starting from the registration date. After one year update expires, the software on the tool can still be used as long as it is not corrupted. But if you want to fix bugs in the current software or keep the tool covering newer functions or car models, you’ll need to buy a subscription for it. ... show more

I purchased the Autel MaxiCOM MK808-TS scanner for home use. I do work on our own vehicles and those of my kids and some other family members. This is my first Bidirectional scanner and so far so good. I have used it to program a keyfob on a 2011 Impala, along with reading trouble codes on several other cars. I haven't used it on TPMS sensors, but I will be soon. ... show more

    • Easy to setup and use
I settled on this unit for the fact that I have a newer vehicle and need a scanner that could also be used with TPMS systems. The MK808S-TS does it all. Very easy to unbox and start using, to include the software updates. This is truly plug and play for vehicles, as it has an auto detect feature. I have already saved myself $140 by being able to pair the TPMS's with my car. I have winter tires and summer tires. And getting them paired usually cost $140 plus time spent at a tire/ repair shop. Just bought this Autel MaxiCOM MK808S-TS . I don’t think you can get a better bidirectional tool for the price. I own several scanners and this scanner did what I needed it to do. It has a lot of maintenance functions that are very useful. You can not go wrong with this scanner.

Just want to upgrade my OBD2 Code Reader. After time looking at scanners decide to go with the Autel MaxiCOM MK808S-TS Bidirectional Scanner. Manny functions including the TPSM system, which I already use to register the new TPMS sensors in my Toyota ECU. I was a breeze with this scanner. I'm sure that I will be using the Bidirectional function on my newer cars. At first a little complicated to use. But once you figure it out works great. I do most of the work on my owns cars and this scanner would be a most have tool on the toolbox. ... show more
