First off I’d like to give a disclaimer that I am no mechanic, I’m a home “mechanic” or for my own vehicles. Now since that’s said this product is amazing. I haven’t tried half of the things that it is capable of doing but I have programmed a couple of keys and that was a cinch. I’ve had a couple of buddies of mine who had vehicles that had the check engine light and we read and diagnose those things the best of our ability and then they took it to a mechanic that could help him further. This device is just nice to have so that you can start to understand the things that are going on with these vehicles that are newer that you can’t just diagnose by looking at them. It’s impressive how in-depth all the information is that it grabs from the vehicle. If you buy this you will be impressed, I sure am. ... show more

    • Fast and easy programming
Having not used a programmer before and being nervous that I could possibly screw up the trucks programming, the IM508 worked perfectly. Less than 10 minutes from start to finish for a first time user to program two additional keys for a truck, that’s a definite win in my book.

The media could not be loaded. IT’s was super easy to program key for 2009 Honda Accord and I’m a beginner with I’m 508s with xp400 but it’s easy with all the instructions.

    • Ok,only if you purchase $$$ subscription yearly.
I thought it was the best investment I've made for fixing cars, very intuitive user manual not needed just follow the prompts easily understood. I've had to update and downgrade my review since. Once you decide not to renew your subscription after a years use. Autel becomes a paper weight you're bombarded to renew subscription or you can't use the device any longer if you're on the streets with no internet connection. It won't allow you to even log on I bought it for personal use not shop use. I'm not concerned with any other car models and features. Would not recommend this product. ... show more

Unable to link most sub systems and most importantly EKW couldn't be reset nor link to key.
