Works great they keep updating the software and vehicles. For occasional use once the subscription expires can be a bit pricey $179+ a year if you catch a discount which does happen periodically. I will have to see what or if anything stops working if you don't keep up subscription. Love the Bluetooth connection to the adapter.

I'm a retired auto technician who used to specialize in electrical and drivability. When I was still working, I just used the shop's scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Now that I'm retired, I needed a scan tool that I could use on my personal vehicles as well as friends and family vehicles. So far, it's working quite well. I like how it has a wide variety of vehicle coverage. Also, it seems to be reasonably fast as well.

I was amazed with the quick delivery, and how easy it was to set up, the diagnostic capabilities are endless. I think this has the best value for your money for a tablet scanner. I am very happy with the battery life between charges. This is able to accomplish more diagnostics than originally thought. I would buy this 100 more times if needed. It is definitely as advertised and the pictures are accurate. This was originally bought to take care of some diagnostics that needed to be done on my 2016 Cadillac XTS. But now I use it at work to help maintain our fleet at work. Scanner bought September 5th, 2025. Delivered on September 6th, 2025.

I have had this scanner for about 5 months, but have only used it 5 or 6 times for code checking, data collecting, and performing cylinder cutouts. After the 4th use, the VCI kept loosing connection to the tablet and eventually it got hot and started to smell. I reached out to customer service and they provided step by step instructions on how to determine if the VCI was the issue. After completing the procedure, it was determined that the VCI was the problem and Autel shipped me a new one free of charge. With the new VCI, I was able to connect with the tablet and everything seems to work when connected to a vehicle. When performing a full vehicle scan, I have found codes in control units that never showed on other scanners I've used. The Auto VIN feature is really nice, and quick. I like the ability to link sessions to a repair order if needed, and being able to create a report is handy. The ability to add additional tools like a borescope or battery tester is pretty neat, and I hope to get those tools soon so that I can test them as well. One of my big hesitations when buying something like this online is support if something happens. At least with my experience, I would be comfortable buying more Autel equipment in the future. Overall, this tool isn't the cheapest, but does have a lot of features for a relatively low cost when compared to the more expensive options. Aside from my VCI issue, the scanner seems to be well built, has a nice weight to it, and the screen size makes it easy to see what I'm looking at.

I got the MK900BT and so far it has been great. After running the software updates I have been able to diagnose and repair several of my vehicles for things that my old old code reader just wasn't up to. I have used this on 3 vehicles so far. And so far it has helped save me and friends a bit of money going to an auto shop. It will take you a little while to get used to where to find things and what is available to you. Once you get used to how it works it is definitely a good tool to have. It's not blazing fast but it's not slow either. So far it has had no problems to auto pull vin numbers, except on a 97 Chevy, but I think that is to be expected on an older vehicle. My favorite part is the live data. Without a doubt that alone is going to save me money and time.
