I use deep litter method during the winter because I don't want to stand in freezing cold cleaning out the chicken coop. This stuff absorbs odor really well and will last me ~6 months with ~20 birds. I will say that I used it in my duck coop last year and I definitely won't be doing that again. Ducks are just too messy and come in wet, it just couldn't hold up. ... show more

Our chickens love the hemp and so do we. We only have 4 chickens so it last a long time. It’s absorbent and the coop stays stink free and fly free. This is also a great company to deal with. Response is fast. Would give over 5 stars if I could!

The hemp bedding was great. It “wraps” up the poo and dries it out. Little dustier then shavings though and that’s why it got a 4 instead of 5. And expensive!

I ordered this product off Amazon because it was cheaper then going through Carolina hickenCoop. Not by a ton, but enough to save like 20$. So far it has absorbed the excrement really well, and I am surprised by how well it has kept the smell down.

Lasts a long time and can be composted when you need to replenish it. Long lasting just rake the dried poop.
