Installed a Kenwood Shallow 12" sub in this box. There was about .5" clearance between the bottom of the woofer, and the floor of the box. Construction is solid, not a cheaply made box by any means. It fits under the rear seat of a 2010 Tundra Double Cab, but has to be close to the front of the seat than the back. Even then, there is very little space from the top of the woofer to the bottom of the seat. This is a nicely made box and looks great but it does not fit the PIONEER TS-SW3002S4 12". I got it as a open box item so it was cheaper then normal, and so I decided to just cut the hole bigger and the subwoofer fit fine after that.

first of all this is a up-firing box, but you could us it side firing or if you mount some rails like I did turn it upside down. Good bass and sound for me, especially after I made it down firing. This is made of the same thickness of 5/8'' mdf board as are the more expensive ones. IN this case you pay for the product, and I'd rather pay for product than a fancy name. ((I Gave it 4stars though, cause when I turned it upside down, I didn't like the idea of all that weight being supported by screws in mdf. So I used bolts and nuts and washers for resilience. I Had to make large cuts on both sides so I could get my hands inside the box to thread the nuts on. It sure would have been helpful it the bottom or top side could be unscrewed or something )). Didn't have the nice sturdy metal banana ports, but the cheap plastic snaps. The seal was sub-par around the inputs, which resulted in a very noticeable hiss and rattle when the bass is bumping. I had to put glue down around the edges, which helped a little. The glue wasn't the "fancy" black Atrend forumalted stuff, but your run-of-the-mill white silicone. Also, my box was a slightly angled style, not the flat style pictured. I'm starting to think they sent me the wrong, cheaper version of the box altogether now that I've come back to this listing. Those things aside, it holds a speaker, and the MDF is thick. I wouldn't say this is a $70 box. Maybe a $35-50 box. ... show more

i got this box because of the limited space.....i installed the Pioneer TS-SW3001S2 12-Inch Shallow Subwoofer with 1500 Watts Max Power, it fits great, good 3/4 inch strong clean finished carpeted MDF construction, Definitely worth the money.

This really is a great sealed enclosure. The air space is only about .6 cu ft so be sure your sub is designed for such a small enclosure space and mounting depth. I'm very impressed with the quality and the carpeting. Looks great and does its job perfectly. Haven't notice any rattling or air leaks. I have a Pioneer shallow mount 12" and it hits a lot harder than I was expecting. Equivalent to a non-shallow mount 12" of the same wattage. Highly recommend. Great quality little box for a slim line 12" sub. The wire connection port leaks air like crazy so I pulled that out and trimmed carpet and sealed it back in with silicon. The terminal connections are a little small for larger size wire to fit in but that's not a huge deal. All in all we'll made box and the carpet is secured and wrapped well.
