Used this to replace tension struts on a Dodge. I like that there were different sizes so I could get the perfect one for the job. I bought one from a big brand parts store a few years ago and that one did not hold up to me hammering on it. This one is definitely more durable and affordable.

I replaced upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie end rods with idler arm. Lots of people complain these break but you don't pry with it you drive it with a air hammer or strike with a big hammer. I did both. Started with air hammer and used a sledge hammer to finish separating all of them. Cheap tool, but may never use again. Product held up fine for me. ... show more

    • Great kit to have in the garage!
Great investment when changing suspension components or dropping front strut towers (and needing to disconnect control arms). Would be a better kit if there were fatter forks though to wedge stuck joints out. I used a fat adjustable wrench, laid flat against the aluminum strut tower, while driving the fork between the balljoint and wrench to pop a particularly seized nipple out.
