    • Necessary insurance for surge damage to TV
After having my expensive Sony TV for two days, a lightning storm made my TV inoperable due to an electrical surge. I was unsure whether Asurion would cover it, but they came through for me.

    • HORRIBLE service
I bought this protection plan for my Samsung. There is an issue with the tv speakers so I tried to file a claim online but it would not recognize the order or tv serial number so I had to call. I called the service. I was on hold for 65 minutes. The person who finally was able to come on the phone was very very difficult to hear (poor call quality on his end) and took another 45 minutes to problem solve. at several points, I requested a technician to come to look at the t.v instead of having me jump through hoops ("set your password, etc) in the middle of my day and the technician would give me some canned answer about why they could not do in-person assistance. finally, after 3 hours on the phone, they agreed to send a technician. Warranty by Asurion through amazing was a really good experience. Customer service was nice over the phone and they also sent out a technician to look at my tv. Unfortunately they couldn’t fix it and so they cut a check instead. Great customer service overall.

    • I recommend this insurance company
I’m glad I have had purchased this insurance company because they actually covered the cost of my Sony Bravia 77”. After inspection was done and the specialist said that the tv can’t be fixed Asurion has paid me back the full price of the tv which was over $3000. Unfortunately I can’t get the full price that I paid (taxes and insurance are not reimbursed)and I lost almost a $1000 that I spent on this tv. However I’m still happy I was able to get this money and buy a new tv. Over all I recommend Asirion. I just purchased their insurance on my new tv but really hope I won’t need to use it again. ... show more

    • New Large Screen TV Warranty
I recently purchased a 77" Sony Bravia and felt an extended warranty was appropriate. Like all insurance (e.g. auto) it may not be used, may not live up to your expectations when needed, or may actually address your particular issue. I regard many of today's TV as "unfixable" meaning they will likely need to be replaced entirely in case of any significant issue. For (Asurion warranty + manufacturer's warranty + 2-year extended manufacturer's warranty (from credit card)) I am paying $250 for 7-years of coverage. That amount is far less than the Tv cost and I'll take a chance on that deal. ... show more

I recommend the Asurion to everyone, it's safer to have extra warranty on electronics specially on expensive one. I got my 77 inches sony oled master series last year for $3500 and I got extra 4 years warranty with Asurion, what a good decision! After only one year the oled panel was down and Asurion after checking the panel sent me a check for the entire purchase price! Awesome 👌 ... show more

Wasn't sure how it was all going to work out, the panel had an issue (vertical white line on right side). Couldn't be fixed, a full refund was sent.
