Two years ago I bought a microwave from Amazon, and was prudent enough to also buy an Asurion three year protection plan. We finally got around to installing the Microwave which had been sitting in its delivery box for two years, only to discover that the wretched thing would only function for 3 seconds and then cut off. It did not matter what length of cooking time we punched in, it actually ran for only 3 seconds. Everything else seemed to work fine - light, turntable, beeps etc. I was not very hopeful when I registered the problem with Asurion/Amazon, so was delighted and amazed that a refund was issued in just a few minutes. That is the best customer experience that I have ever experienced!

An extended warranty can help you more years out of your purchase than having a manufacturer's-only warranty. Like most insurance plans, one must pay attention to the details when filing a claim. I have only had to file one claim in the past several years and, after much back and forth on required documents, the insurance claim was paid. Thus, I keep buying the Asurion plans. Highly recommended.

I purchased a GE microwave May-2023 and it just out of the blue stopped working 2 weeks ago. OH, you do not know how much I use my microwave, and it is a special size for the undercounter cabinet built, so needed this same exact model. I looked up my order and YES, I had purchased a 3-year warranty. I reached out to Asurion and in a matter of minutes my claim was processed, new microwave ordered (said it would be her Oct. 9th) to my surprise I tracked it, and it was coming in on Oct. 4th) #thanksAmazon. I cannot say enough about my protection plan I purchased and how easy it was to take care of my new microwave. HIGHLY recommend purchasing the ASURION protection plan when you purchase a product.
