My last claim was a $3K espresso machine, which I loved. Fortunately, when the unit failed, I pulled out my my policy and filed the claim. The process was simple and ultimately, Asurion notified me that the equipment couldn't be repaired, so they refunded me the original purchase price for the espresso machine. It was easy and Asurion kept me in the loop the entire way through the claim. Don't get caught without insurance on your valuable equipment.

I don't normally buy insurance for my kitchen appliances but investing $2500 in an espresso machine was a big step and I decided it was worth the extra money for 3 years of coverage. Two months outside of the manufacturer's warranty the machine died. I started the process with Asurion and shipped it off for repair. A few days later I was told it was beyond repair and within the week I had a check for the original purchase amount. The whole process was smooth and easy, it felt like sending a return back to Amazon. Definitely worth the price of the insurance!

Sent in for repair and was mailed back from Asurion with extensive exterior damage (reason why it went in was repaired). Corporate left me a voicemail telling me to either keep it if its running or return so they can fix. They could not fix their mistake so they refunded the amount I paid. Unfortunately for me the item (due to prices going up everywhere) will now cost me 1000 more above refund to replace. Their explanation is that they can only pay for what insurance covers. Except this is not an insurance issue. This is an issue where an employee damaged an item that was in fact working after the original fix. And technically a felony. Consulting attorney. Photos are front damage there was damage all around.

Purchased to protect $2200 kitchen appliance from Amazon with the Asurion insurance. Excellent Service when reporting a claim. Continued communication from Asurion about the evaluation process of the product was also excellent. Must be careful if you also have a warranty on the product from the manufacturer. Things can get confusing. Once Asurion determined the item could not be repaired reimbursement check was sent quickly.

It's a protection plan that I haven't had to use yet, so not much to review. However, past experiences with asurion have been positive, and it is a very reasonably priced plan.
