I run a small dance venue and this has been outstanding for my needs. Enough space to sort bills, checks, etc., properly and without hassle. Others on here have complained about the latches breaking... I don't know what they have been doing, but unless you are forceful with these, they aren't going anywhere. Only complaint is that the metal that keeps the lid down... It has an edge. I've been conscious of where my fingers are and make sure I don't slide them anywhere around there. It WILL cut. Totally would recommend this to a friend. I already have. Can't beat the price, can't beat the quality (unless you want to go into the $90 range). ... show more

    • Just what I needed...
This is perfect for what I needed it to do. I do not have a cash register but needed a cash box for my flea market activities. Since the top locks, I can walk away from it a bit and not worry. It is light weight and portable. I haven't had any problem with my money moving around to much. Pretty much I have a tote that the "special" items stay in and it has been kept upright. It came with two keys, and that is perfect for me... as I am constantly forgetting where I put one of them. Now this is not a master lock top, so if your wanting a lot of security... I am not sure I would go with this top. If your going to be around the cash box... then this to me is wonderful. I can lock it or just put the top on it for easier access. To be honest the quality is a bit better than I expected! I compared and compared reviews on Amazon, and settled on this. I have had other cash boxes with the bottom but not the tie down on the money. Since I am out in the weather the money holders are a nice feature and I don't have to worry about chasing the bills should a wind come up. I am happy with my purchase. It is not all things to all people... but I like it for what I wanted and needed. ... show more

I use this for my very busy shaved ice shack. It has held up so nicely that I am so pleased with it, for the price, you really can't beat it. I'm very happy I got it! I'm very surprised others say the money clips have broken, like I said this tray gets very high volume use and my clips are still working great! I would definitely buy another for sure! ... show more

    • Great value and good construction
As other reviewers noted, the top is a bit flimsy but I didn't buy this to actually use the locking cover. The key assembly is not a secure type and can be easily picked. I did it in about 30 seconds with a "bobbie" pin. Overall for the money this is a great insert for a drawer. The bill weights and springs are a bit lightweight but they do the job. If the bill slots fill to about 75% the arms want to spring up easily. I guess it's a good problem to have if you are taking that many bills :-) I like the 5 bill set up which gives me a place for large bills and credit card receipts. Note the measurements - this is a fairly large drawer insert! ... show more

I purchased this money tray w/ locking cover for our softball organization. We have a snack shack and we needed a money tray that could easily get money out and that we could transport. This fits the bill perfectly. Not only do we use this at our snack shack, we transport this to our sign up locations. It has 4 slots for bills and an extra one for checks. The lid on the money tray is a nice tight fit for when we transport the money tray from location to location. The coins do not spill into other compartments. Using this for our "chore system" and it works great. If you need it for any type of offical business I would think the keys would be a little too flimsy for that. The keys remind me of a childrens toy and I'm fully expecting them to break in the future.

I purchased this cash box for our non-profit organization's concession stand. In the past, we used a money bag or cheap box with a lid (no cash compartments). We would have $20s, $10s, $5s and $1s all together. Granted, you tried to keep them in order, but it was hard to make change quickly. Very nice tray. I wanted a drawer with bill slots to take to craft fairs and this does the trick. It is a bit bigger to carry than a regular money box, but with customers standing to check out, this will be so much easier to give change. The locking cover fits nicely. The lock isn't heavy duty, but that isn't a biggie with my use. I am happy with this purchase. ... show more
