I have had a Vornado Sr. fan that was warranted for 5 years by Vornado. It is 7 years old. They are expensive but well worth the price. I wanted a little extra piece of mind for the new one. I buy the protection plans for my more expensive electronic purchases. I have never needed to file a claim so not sure how that process goes

I bought a tower fan and decided to get asurion insurance on it. The tower fan stopped rotating about a year later and I contacted asurion and they refunded me for the whole amount. First time I had to file a claim, too. I buy a lot of these protection plans just in case and was starting to think they are a waste of money only for one of the products being covered breaking.

Wow! I was shocked there wasn't a hassle getting my money back for the dehumidifier I bought that stopped working. It's worth getting Asurion on electrical items.

It was fast and easy to do my warranty. They refunded the amount I paid for the item but they didn't include the tax. I feel it should be include because we shouldn't have to pay the government twice if we replace a defective item.

A previous customer wrote : Amazon should be ashamed offering a "protection plan" that is not only confusing and misleading, but also only kicks in after the manufacturer's warranty ends. In essence, they are paid for time they do not insure whatsoever. If I could go back in time and cancel the hundreds of dollars of "protection" I have purchased from Amazon, I would. Absolutely awful. space bar space bar I would like to add that my defective Hansabenne humidifier purchase page shows that my warranty window is closed. I'm apparently out of options and have been totally ripped off through collusion between Amazon , the Hansabenne and Asurion. The latter is the Amazon's insurance company Which I paid for protection. What a mess! I have hours into this and I have no solution! I haven't found a way to contact anyone because Asurion rejected me. I knew sooner or later I'd have to worry about something like this from Amazon. It's the very reason I purchased extra protection! Very disappointed with Amazon!

I had an evaporative cooler breakdown on me and when I called to see about the insurance, they simply gave me a refund and send it to me the next day. No questions asked problem solved great service. I would highly recommend them.
