  • Protection Plan that's worth getting
We seem to go through dehumidifiers every 3-4 years, and the last one we purchased only lasted just over 2 years. When I realized it stopped working, I submitted my claim with Asurion, and within 5 min had they emailed me my purchased price so that I was able to order the replacement unit. It's super easy. I didn't have to submit a receipt or anything. It was all linked to my Amazon account. Much different then when I used to use Square Trade.   • Live by their word but a hassle…
Asurion did make me whole on my product with the warranty. I had an air purifier that stopped working and after numerous calls and emails and sending the product in, I was refunded my money. Here is the series of events over about 6 weeks: Product stopped working I read warranty, went to website and filled out form I received email that they received the warranty application and were working on it. Nothing for over a week and then I called the main number I found in the warranty info. I was then told that this was the incorrect number and needed to call the Amazon line and was transferred. Then, I was was told - thanks for trying but you were supposed to call us to begin with. We will send you an Amazon gift card to receive within several days. I waited for this for over a week and nothing. Emailed for an update and was told my case was closed and to call customer service (no phone number given until the 3rd or 4th email asking for the number to call) Again, over several days. After I got the phone number I called and was told that they would look into it and call me over the next few days. Then, I got a return slip via email - what was that for? The next person I talked to said I needed to return the product. I told him about my previous conversations about the gift card because the product was so large to return and fix. More back and forth and finally told that I needed to box it up and ship it back so I needed to find a box and packing material. I shipped it back and once they received it, I was told they actually couldn’t fix it and would send a gift card. I did receive that a few days later and can now purchase another one that I’ve been without for 6 weeks - uh, I already found another solution by now. ... show more

I like the price, and also it's very quiet and cools the rooms very nicely and ohh yeah it's nice to have the warranty just in case something happens
