I bought a two year extended warranty for a massage gun. Unlike most extended warranties the Asuirion plan covers damage from dropping. When I dropped my massage gun and it quit working, a did an online claim and Asurion paid off with a gift card for the value of the item. The question with any insurance plan is "do they pay off when the time comes, or do you get a large run-around". Asurion paid off my clain with no hassle. I recommend them. Overall the protection was easy to add to the item I ordered and then when the item "failed", Asurion provided me the steps to get reimbursed and it was easy as well.

  • SCAM!
I figured this would be a scam and they would make it nearly impossible to claim a reimbursement with this "protection" plan but I was wrong. They've made it entirely impossible to claim a reimbursement with this "protection" plan I only bought a cheap massager but I've bought a few already and expected it to break after a few months of use because they always do. I kept buying them because spending $40 every few months to keep my tension headaches away was worth the money. But then I realized I could pay $40 once and $3 extra so that once the massager breaks, I could get it replaced half of the time and cut my cost in half. But deep down I KNEW this wouldn't work out. They make it so difficult to even find the portal to start a claim, then once I walked through the steps they came back saying my massager was covered under "warranty". There is no warranty for this item or this company. I had to do a lot of digging and spend a lot of time to discover that. Then when I contacted the customer service for Amazon to figure out how to procede with this imaginary warranty they gave me a contact for Asurion customer "service" which ended up being AI or the stupidest person in the world who kept giving me the same answer three times in a row! And they were telling me to go through the online process I had already been through. I would rephrase how I was asking the question in hopes that maybe my next explanation would tell them that I had already done what they said and need to know the next step. Long story short, this is just a way to scam you out of a few extra dollars. And to me, it isn't the cost but what this says about society. Do we really live in a world where a company manipulates people and promises a service they have no intention of making good on? Is this how all companies will behave in the future? If there were options other than Chinese crap I would just buy a high-quality massager but even the expensive ones are Chinese crap. The Shaver performed WELL!! for the 15 months (the Manufacture's Warranty Period) and about 3 weeks I had it before the shaver head where you open it to clean out the shaved Wiskers would NO longer stay shut when closing it. It's weird it would fail to shut and remain shut ONLY about 3 weeks after the manufacture's warranty ended and is WHY I am glad and fortunate that I purchased the Extended Warranty from "Asurion" when I purchased this shaver thru Amazon (which was around 16 November of 2022). While awaiting a decision from Asurion on what they were planning to do in regards to my Extended Warranty, I went back to Amazon to review the shaver I had purchased back in November of 2022 and found out that this shaver and several other models from the same company NOW ALL have 2 year warranties vs the 15 month one this shaver had when I got it. Asurion was EXCELLENT to work with!! Asurion's claim process was Very Easy to complete along what the process they had me do with shipping the defective shaver to an Asurion facility in Indiana. I can "honestly" say NOT many other warranty companies that I've worked with over the years have been so respectful and willing to work with customers as Asurion was. I would Highly Recommend them to anyone who asks me concerning their willingness, cooperative nature and standing behind their wattanties they sell on products sold through Amazon.
