I almost never buy these warranties when I purchase electronics but I figured a $500 camera on a hike is more likely to have an accident than most things and it would be a good idea to have some protection should I accidentally drop it in a puddle while photographing a mushroom which is probably the most probable thing that might happen.... right? . So I went ahead and got this protection plan. Go figure I had the camera for about a week when while sitting in a chair ,on my own deck, photographing birds, I stood up and rapped the camera on the arm of my chair in just the right spot to shatter the display screen. So I started the claim process on a Saturday afternoon. By Monday it was approved. Got it sent out on Friday afternoon received confirmation that the repair was in progress on Tuesday. Camera was repaired and back in my hands on Friday. Money well spent.

Sometimes things break, right? At my job, it feels like it's more often. Plastic products tend to not last and I wish more products were made of steel, aluminum, etc., but this is the world we live in. I purchased this insurance along with a tripod -- you know, just in case. Well, 18 months later, a plastic part of a tripod leg snapped, rendering the tripod useless. I filled out the simple form at the Asurion claim website, then packed and shipped (with a label provided by Asurion) the broken tripod. Within days, I was sent a gift code for the amount of the original purchase price, and have since replaced the tripod. Thank you for the quick and easy process, Asurion!

This camera is amazing!!!! Honestly didn't expect it to be this good for the price! I have a camera 3 times the price and the quality does NOT compare to this camera!!! The details are amazing and it is so easy to use!!!! I recommend this to everyone! The speed also is amazing fast!

Making a claim was not difficult. Have the purchase information for the product handy. (Model, amount paid, date.) I used the CHAT function and the person who responded was very helpful and put the claim through right then. Shortly after the product was mailed back my Amazon account was credited. The process worked.
