I got the shade periwinkle. I’m an avid arctic fox user and I LOVE their dyes, I really do. I’ve never had a bad experience. The pastel shades however, they just don’t stick, even when my hair is platinum blonde to start. The periwinkle is a beautiful shade, but I had to add some Purple AF to get it to really stick and by that point it wasn’t truly periwinkle, it was more just purple. the periwinkle by itself came out patchy, my bangs for some reason stayed icy blonde, and the roots of my hair turned grey, the tips were light light periwinkle despite doing 2 rounds of color. It washed out after 2 washes. The other colors, however, love love love, highly recommend arctic fox, truly. Just be mindful of pastels. ... show more

Gorgeous color but would definitely work best on platinum blonde hair, I bleached my ends and thought they were light enough based on the dye color but some strands are vibrant others not so much (some hair lifted more than other) I believe if I left the bleach longer it would have been much more pigmented ... show more

My daughter has darkish blonde hair so take that into account, but this didn’t work AT ALL. We left it on for 40 minutes, including time spent blow drying, only for her hair to literally look exactly the same. Not even the slightest bit blue. Very disappointing and something to keep in mind for others trying this. I’m guessing it only works on very light hair! ... show more

I wanted violet-blue hair and that's exactly what I got with Periwinkle. Applied very easily with husband's help. But even with multiple applications there were always some strands were more grey than periwinkle. Spot-checking barely helped, even though we are no amateur in hair-coloring. We mixed what was left in my conditioner to increase longevity. Was blue in the shade and a bright gorgeous violet-blue in the sun. I got so many compliments and my hair was very soft. Faded grey around the top after 1 month. After 2 months I accelerated the fading and ended up with a beautiful grey-white fade, but with uneven fading and blue hints in the mid-lengths. Only started showing a hint green when my hair started going back to light blond, after about 3 months. Overall, Arctic Fox has such nice, pretty colors. They are one of my go-to. Other favs are Blue Baby Jeans, Wrath, and Phantom Green, all mixed with some Transylvania. Now that I have lighter hair, I am aiming to try lighter shades, like Froze, Aquamarine, and mixes. ... show more

Applied according to instructions. Dye didn't take so well even in my gray hair. Washed out within a few days. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but the results were less than inspiring. I did like that it wasn't dreadfully messy and it has a pleasant smell

*UPDATE* Okay, so, since writing my original review I did a little experimenting. I changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars because I am just BLOWN away with my NEW results. I did a complete re-do of my hair, and the results are stunning. I re-did the blonde in my hair. I bleached it using one of those bleach kits that come with the color kits, like Splat. Made my hair that ugly yellow orange color, with all the brass. Used that as my base color, applied this, and the results can be seen in the second image. It may not be perfect, but I am in love with the color. It's a light, kind of pastel, blueish-purple tint. Love it! I have officially changed my mind about Arctic Fox. I won't use anything else!! So, I wanted a beautiful light purple-ish color for spring. I've been a blonde for years now, but just wanted something new and different. I came across this Periwinkle color and thought it was perfect! I read a few reviews online from others where the color just doesn't stick to their blonde hair, or it just didn't come out right. Others also said that it worked for them, and the pictures that showed the Periwinkle color was just too beautiful to pass up. So, I took a chance, and have become one of the ones where it just didn't work. I got a little bit of a color, and it is gorgeous. I do love what color did take, but my roots just did not take at all. At. All. I went from having really light blonde roots to a darker blonde. I hate it. I hate the roots. What little color did take, I do like, but the roots just ruin it for me. I just don't understand how, when my all over color was the exact same. How did the color not stay on the roots? Love, love, loveee!! It worked amazing on my pre-dyed hair! I ended up with dark blue-ish purple hair! It looks amazing and was easy to apply! I totally recommend Artic Fox dye, I’m definitely gonna be ordering other color soon! (Don’t mind the gap in my roots, that’s not the hair dye’s fault 🙈) I did leave in in longer than 30 mins though, about an hour and thirty mins ... show more
