  • Great burner for seafood boils
It works great. My only small issue is the initial burn off of the paint on the pot supports. Other than that it works great and heats up an 80 quart pot of water for crawfish pretty quick.

  • Now THAT's FIRE!
Yes, this is cheap. Yes, I had a fire extinguisher and a designated 911 dialer when I first tried to use this. I can't say the quality is stellar, but for its price, I'm happy that it didn't cause a wall of flaming death. The metal is a bit thin, but it seems perfectly safe. Now that we're done with the safety aspect of this thing, let me say that this burner produces so much heat that I'm afraid it will slowly push the earth out of orbit. I tried it out using a wok (because a wok requires far more heat than a stove could ever produce). After a couple of minutes on full heat, I sprayed some oil into the wok. It immediately burst into flames. Dang. Take off heat. Let it cool. Wipe down with paper towel. The paper towel immediately burst into flames. Great googly moogly. Okie-dokie. Well, this burner produces WAY more heat than I will ever need unless I want to try to smelt some aluminum. Seriously. This thing might melt an aluminum can. I'm not exaggerating. ... show more

  • Great for hobbyist maple syrup boiling
I ordered this for the power, because it looked sturdier than others on the market, and because an evaporating pan could sit on top of the grate fairly close to the pan. I was able to get a boil in windy outdoor condition with temperatures below 30 degrees. The regulator, however, developed a leak on the second day when we tried to attach a new propane tank and we could not adjust it. We purchased a new regulator from a farm supply company, but it wasn't nearly as powerful as the one that came with the stove. I contacted ARC with the problem and they sent us a new regulator and cord which arrived within a few days. For our purposes, this outdoor stove is sturdy and powerful and as long as the new cord doesn't develop an uncorrectable leak, I am very satisfied and would definitely purchase again. ... show more

  • Good burner...bad paint
This is a sturdy burner that has plenty pf power. I was a little unhappy when the paint burnt off the top the very first time I used it but I guess it will just have to be a rusty ugly burner that still cooks very nice. its heavy and big but I didn't worry about my 84qt stainless pot and about 50lb of seafood. If it was a better paint or a material that can take the heat I would give it 5 stars. It lit easily with a torch and held a flame at various settings from low to high. The regulator dial seems backwards but you get used to it. No problems with wind blowouts during a fairly windy day. For my first boil I started with a fresh 20lb cylinder, we cooked about 50 lb of seafood and it feels like I used about half. ... show more

  • Great!
Works great! The only issue is that the paint didn’t stand the flames so it did come off along with leaving 4 marks on the bottom of my big sized pot that was 50cm. It did take about 35 minutes for the water to start boiling. It can hold quite a heavy amount, surprisingly. Very satisfied with the one I got. No leakage in the hose either. ... show more

  • Chinese Jet Engine
I'm pretty sure some dude in China took the jet engine off a retired aircraft, piped it for propane and then shipped it to me. This thing is a little nutty with how much fire comes off. I use it for deep frying and I got tired of the stupid timer devices that come on the ones sold locally. It works great. It cuts my heating time down quite a bit. I'm sure a few more houses will get burned down because of of how much heat is produced and the lack of safety timer. But it won't be mine. ... show more

  • Very heavy duty!!!
The media could not be loaded. Heavy duty! Made out of the same iron you make iron skillets out of. I love this! Should last us many years! That is a 60 quart pot sitting on it!

  • huge
If you think as I foolishly did that you are going to cook on this burner stop and get something else. If you are looking for a monster heat source for large batches of ???, then this is it! This burner is powerful, 200k btu is A LOT of heat in a large well made burner assembly. Strong, heavy duty, did I say huge, high pressure burner. You could probable use this burner for forge work!! But if you have a wok or a pot you will probable not have any arm hair by the time your through. ... show more
