I bought (4) of the triple compartment tanks in May 2024 and like you, read reviews before buying. At least one reviewer mentioned the clear plastic tubes that connect to the nylon threaded/hose barbed leak air so the dosing pumps lose prime. I hoped the manufacturer would have addressed this between then and now, but alas they did not. The glue they use to connect the two is brittle and not airtight, meaning you’ll need a 9/16” (or whatever metric size) wrench to remove them, pull the tube out, then silicone back together. Not a huge deal but for the price it shouldn’t have to be fixed before use. Otherwise though still worth it for me, very high quality feeling. ... show more

Good: solid construction, included hoses (3) are good quality and seat well (a little odor, but fades quickly), compact size holds 1500 ml (50+ oz) usable in each section, graduation marks etched into acrylic. Bad: DRAWS AIR from unsealed stem to fitting (see modifications), stems are a little short (fill above the line to get full useful volume). I got this for aquarium supplement dosing, for use with the Jebao DP-4 dosing pump. After unpacking both this and the pump and hooking them up, I noticed that the fluid would draw up the stem, but very little made it through the pump. Turned out that the stems aren't sealed to the nipple fittings, so air was being pulled into the line so the pump wouldn't stay primed (even when I filled the lines first). MODIFICATIONS: To fix the above, I unscrewed the nipple ftgs with a 14mm wrench, found that the stems easily came out from the nipple ftgs, and decided to glue them together. I didn't have any acrylic glue or PVC pipe glue so I used some coral glue (cyanoacrylate) on the end of the stem and inserted into the nipple ftg. I also put a bead of glue around the joint and wiped the excess with a swab. Testing after the glue set worked great: much faster fluid draw up the stem, and the stem didn't drain after the pump shut off (lines stayed primed). I still think the stem is too short, but I can still get the full 1500 ml useful volume as the container has some extra height. I could add an extension, but small amounts of the supplements can precipitate out of solution, so it's better to have a little room. ... show more

horrible chemical smell. May be from the tubing which is stored inside the container. I'm trying to use vinegar to clean it out but fear whatever it is could harm my fish and corals. I saw another reviewer state this but was hoping it was a fluke. Nope. I had to move it to another room as it was causing a headache. This is not something I want to risk using on my aquarium. Received my dosing container, I checked it for leaks, no leaks! YAY!!! But, the tubing that came with it is too big to fit my Chihiros dosing system, so I had to use the tubing that came with my dosing pump. It was slightly smaller, so I just used some hot water to stretch it to fit, it barely fit but seems to be staying in place so far. I tested it, It's not sucking air, so far, so good!!! Before I was refilling my dosing containers every 2 weeks, now I only have to refill every 2 months. ... show more
