  • Great little gadget
Size: 480 GPH
Good price and actually does a pretty good job in my 60 gallon tank. I bought this to stir the water up so more junk would circulate toward the suction side of my filter and it is doing just that. I was a little worried that my fish wouldn't like it or that it might upset their eating but, they got used to it and they are not afraid of it at all. Some food gets stuck in it temporarily but, it either clears quickly or the fish will grab it right out of the blades. So, no disruption at all. I might even try a little stronger one next because I think they actually like the current. They can be in it or not depending on where they choose to swim. ... show more

  • Great Little Wave Maker for Small Tanks
Size: 480 GPH
The AQUANEAT Circulation Pump is a compact and efficient solution for adding water movement to smaller aquariums. Its 480 GPH flow rate is powerful enough to keep the tank clean and simulate natural currents without disturbing fish or plants. The suction cup mount holds the pump firmly in place, even after weeks of use. It runs quietly, which is a big plus if your tank is in a bedroom or quiet space. The swivel head makes it easy to direct the flow where it’s needed most. Setup was straightforward, and it started working right out of the box with no issues. For the price and performance, this pump is a solid addition to any small to mid-size tank. ... show more

  • Works but gets loud over time
Size: 480 GPH
In the beginning it works well with almost no noise, but after a few months it’s so loud. It reminds me of a car engine. If the noise level wasn’t so loud I’d give it a 5/5. Wish there was a way to fix the noise level.

  • Feisty little thing, very quiet.
Size: 480 GPH
More powerful than expected. Not disappointed. I wish it had some sort of flow control. Wouldn't recommend if you got small critters in the tank, because it will get ugly, be it freshwater fry, on that saltwater anemone you thought was going to stick on a rock. Keep that in mind. Super quiet. The mounting is a bit wonky and one must mess with it for a while before you get the hang of it. It'll rearrange substrate every time it falls (note the mention to the unexpected might of this thing) which is great incentive to get it right, tho I wish it was easier. Sand everywhere, twice. Not even mad. ... show more

  • Works Well For 2 1/2 Months, But Then...
Size: 480 GPH
Plenty of power for the price, but not too much power for my tank (40 gallons). Really clears up the water in combination with an in-tank foam filter and an exterior canister filter. The fish also love to play in the current it creates. However, as another Amazon customer ('mike') mentioned in their review ('Great Until It Stops Working'), mine stopped working after the exact same amount of time. I purchased mine on Sept. 9 and noticed it was no longer working on Nov. 24; and it was no longer returnable. Initially I couldn't figure out how to take it apart, but again thanks to mike, I was able to twist apart the basket. (There's a simple notch-thread in the middle of the basket, but it seems to be threaded backwards.) I pulled out the impeller and, not finding any obstruction, just put it back together, put it back in the tank, and plugged it back in. It was working fine again. It seems like the impeller gets disconnected from whatever spins it. Initially I thought this may have been due to the fish nudging the basket around, or that the wave maker should be mounted horizontally or pointing upward so that the impeller doesn't gradually slide away from whatever spins it. So I adjusted the angle too. I also attached a piece of thread to the basket so I would know on sight whether or not it was working (see picture). On 12/2, the propeller was still spinning but the flow was dramatically reduced. Again the impeller seemed to have slipped away from whatever spins it. I pushed it back in, increased the angle upward. On 12/3 the same issue recurred. I took out the impeller, which had a fair amount of play (a gap between the elements on the thin metal rod that runs through them). I pushed on both ends to try to reduce the amount of play, put it back together again, and it's working again. But I'm really sick of dealing with this over and over. I expect it to fail again, at which point I will upgrade. I don't recommend this product. 12/8: The wave maker failed again. Throwing it out. Don't buy this, it's a piece of junk. ... show more

  • Suction cup not so good
Size: 2100 GPH
The first one I got worked for a few months then quit. Contacted the seller I received one response about cleaning it which I had already done. No luck after several tries. No further contact from the seller, so I won’t be buying them anymore. The suction cup doesn’t hold so well after about a month. ... show more

  • The best thing a bought for my 240 gallon tank
Size: 480 GPH
I place this pump in the center of the left panel of the 240 gallon tank. I have it pointed to botton middle of the front panel to blow all the first poop on the sand. My tank is filtered by 7 sponge filters and the sand have far less poop on it. My tank has platies, tetras, an angelfish and a loach and some plecos. It does not harm my small fish, but it can probably kill fry. ... show more

  • Well made continue running without loosing any strength and never turned off!!!
Size: 480 GPH
The media could not be loaded. The suction power of this 480gph is real good I have this for 2 and a half month now and only one time during this 2 month I have noticed that the suction cup was not holding to the glass tank but I think it was my mistake caused I placed it wrong for the first time. The value for the money was excellent, and is made of a strong plastic, very tough, well made. The power of the motor is incredible good, I had never tuned it off this wave maker scince I bought it and is continue running without loosing any strength. Is moving the water in a semi circular movement, in that way is moving constantly all the waste thru the filter pipe!!! I don’t have any dislikes at the moment of this review!!! And my aquarium is a 37 gallons tropical planted tank!!! For the cheap priced I had nothing to loose!!! I’m very happy with this purshased!!! ... show more
