This is the aquarium air hose you're looking for. Other ones are more rigid, thinner, slip off or get hard and just don't cut it. I've had aquariums for 20+ yrs. This is the hose you want. .... i tried the blk hoses bc i thought it blend in better,, but they are all made out of another type of plastic/ rubber. This tubing is super soft, more like surgical tubing than standard airline tubing used in aquariums (which is what I bought it for). I didn’t by this because I wanted special tubing, though. I bought it because not only could I not find regular tubing on Amazon that would be delivered within the timeframe I needed it (a few days compared to a week or more!), my whole TOWN was out of tubing as well. I assume it has to be related to a material shortage, which I understand and am not unsympathetic to (because I’m not a monster) but I also know my fish needed to be taken care of properly. So I’m very glad this popped up. Not only did it arrive when I needed it, it’s just really good tubing. I love the flexibility, it’s held up really well, it’s been SUPER easy to work with, no leaks or gaps so far, and the color is fine since transparent tubing isn’t much less noticeable anyway. It all ends up covered in plants over time regardless, if you design your tank correctly. I also found this price to be reasonable because I received a LOT of tubing. I was able to run several air stones with mounds and mounds left over from just one package, so even if the shortage continues for quite a while, me and my fish are covered. ... show more

Great product. I bought 2 25’ rolls because it was cheaper per foot then the next size up. The tube is thick walled and rather pliable. It’s not as rigid as the clear vinyl hose but not as supple as silicone, somewhere in the middle. The hose is rigid enough to not kink when bent. Be aware that this hose is opaque, so it may be a bit more visible in your tank. I don’t have any issue with that, but something to be aware of. One of my cats is certain his purpose in life is to chew the skinny electrical wire that supplies power to the control display on my elliptical. My cats aren’t allowed in there, but anyone who is owned by cats knows the saying “Where there’s a will, There’s a way” came about with felines in mind. Knowing his determination a solution was absolutely paramount. I used to have aquariums so airline came to mind. This airline is quite supple and my hope was it would be an effective barrier that wouldn’t give the satisfying crunch that cats crave. Nice soft flexible air line. I got tired of stiff air lines being hard to conform. This line is perfect! It’s a little matted in it clear color but it blends in very well. All my connectors fit tightly for a water tight seal. My package came quickly in the mail. I’m very pleased!

Airline is solid. Its not like that stiff tubing you see in pet stores. Kinking isn't an issue but if you're not careful you can pinch them easy so make sure your lines are free from obstructions.

This line was proper width 3/16 to attach to airpump. Unlike the 6' lengths I bought which had to be stretched by attaching to an airstone for a day before being big enough to barely fit the airpump. Figure some Chinese manufacturing guy trying to save a half-pence by using less plastic making it to small to use. But this 40' length was correct width. ... show more
