The cheapest 300W heater I could find and it's working great, I'm using this in a 30 gallon but it's outside so I needed the extra power for the cool nights.

I bought two of the 300 watt heaters to replace my two 200 watt heaters that were struggling to keep my tank temp up now that the cold weather has really set in. After several hours I noticed the temp wasn’t coming up. So I checked the wattage use on my apex aquarium controller and discovered these were only pulling a combined 406 watts. I double checked to make sure I didn’t get the wrong ones and it’s printed right on the heater, 300 watts. That is completely false. On top of that these things float, so if the suction cups fail these will float to the surface and burn up or break potentially killing everything in your tank. I wouldn’t recommend this heater. I only gave it one star because zero wasn’t an option. ... show more

My RES (red-eared slider) that we recently brought indoors was acting sluggish so I added this to his tank and brought the temperature up to about 79 degrees F. and he's been so much more active! I will say the only way you'll be able to see the red on light is if you're looking at it at the correct angle and the way my tank is positioned against two walls that makes it difficult to see the light. What I can see though are the heat waves in the water near this heater. The temperature strip seems to be accurate as well. Make sure you submerge the entire heater, even the blue adjustment knob at the top. ... show more

This is a nice tank heater for the price. I thought because it's glass it may not be great with my turtle in there, but it's been ok. Easy to set up. It's nice to see it light up red when it's on. Easy to adjust to desired temperature.

This is probably the worst aquarium heater in the market. Could not heat up a 20gal tank to 82C, came down this morning and found out 2 of my a baby African cichlids are dead, and the holders are all out of shape after 2 weeks of used. I rated 1 star because that the lowest, would rate lower if I could. Junk, junk, junk!!!!!! ... show more
