Features

  • Well for 42 inch Long Fish Tanks -- Calculate for the rectangular tank: (42'' L x 12'' W x 19'' H)/231=42 gallon, our water chiller can drop water temperature up to 10F in general. In hot summer, recommended water volume is 80%, 33 gallons.
  • Upgraded Accessory -- The new water pump features a stainless steel shaft, thicker wires, and American standard plugs. Additionally, two types of water pipe clamps have been added to help you secure the water pipe in the fish tank, making it look more beautiful and less likely to blow up sediment at the bottom.
  • Essential for Hydroponics and Aquarium -- High-efficiency freon free compressor provides more rapid and stable cooling than small fans, using r290 refrigerant, circulating cooling without pollution and do not need to be supplemented. Can well control the ideal water temp at 68-78F/20-26C, necessary for creating healthy roots and a good harvest
  • Tips in Summer -- The standard water volume is 42gal, expecially in hot summer the indoor temperature is too high, the recommended water volume is less than 33gal, the cooling effect will be GREATLY affected by the ambient temperature.
  • Fast Heat Dissipation -- Two built-in fans and a large number of heat dissipation holes on both sides of the machine provide powerful ventilation to dissipate compressor heat well, ensuring compressor can work efficiently for all day long. Note there must be a space of 6''/15cm around the chiller for enough air circulation and efficient cooling
  • Keep Your Coral Reef Alive -- Inner pure titanium evaporator ensures that the chiller has effective corrosion resistance while achieving the most effective heat exchange, for both fresh and salt water, can fully meet the sensitive temp needs of your coral farming
  • One Year Warranty -- BAOSHISHAN take the responsibility of one year warranty for this water chiller, please dont worry, you only need to enjoy the convenience it brings

  • Better than I’d hoped
I have a large shrimp tank that was fetter hot in the summer. I wanted something to keep the shrimpers cool and happy. Bought this on a lightning sale and haven’t looked back. Quick version: keeps a thirty-gallon tank cool and consistent at 68-73 degrees, no problem in an 80-degree room. Fan noise is a thing. It isn’t silent. The noise level is about the same as a small window air conditioner. Doesn’t bother me, but a thing to consider. Only makes noise when the fans are on. In my case it pops on about every 30 min for about two minutes. The pics are misleading. The tubing is 1/2 tubing with a pretty powerful power head that pushes water through the system constantly. This creates a powerful outflow. In a 20-50 gallon tank, this will create a whirlpool unless you deflect the outflow stream. I wrapped some course filter material around the outflow and attached it with zip ties, creating a soft dispersed current perfect for the shrimps. The power jet has large open intake vents, anything smaller than a platy is going to get diced and sliced. Guppies, endlers, shrimps, etc will need protection from the suction of death. I used coarse filter material attached with zip ties to cover the vents, which keeps small critters safe while not hurting the flow. When the unit pops on there is a small joint or movement to the unit, it the unit is on the same surface as the aquarium, it may startle or stress out your critters. The unit does not come with suction cups to hold the tubing in place. Trust me, you’ll want suction cups to hold the tubing. The power head will push a lot of water consistently through the tubes. These are thick unwieldy tubes. You can wreck your flooring in a matter of seconds if the outage tube wiggles free of the aquarium. Some said theirs didn’t ship with instructions. Mine came with a guide for setup and settings. Setting the unit temp is pretty easy, but not exactly intuitive. A benefit of this unit is an internal battery that keeps your settings even if the power goes out, worth the extra money! All in all, great product. My shrimps are happy and cool. Has been running for two months without issue. Update: The unit has been working extremely well for the past 4 months. In the summer the unit pops on about every 20 min, I was worried this would overwork the unit, but so far no problems. Has been keeping my 40-gallon tanks at a perfect 73.5 all through the summer. Overall very happy with the unit. As mentioned above, it isn't silent, so take that into consideration. Also, it will heat up a small room....so your fish may be nice and chilly, but the heat removed from the aquarium dispersed from the output fans will heat up a small room. ... show more

  • Excellent chiller for axolotl tank
The product seems to work excellent and has settings for an axolotl between 58 and 64°. I would buy again works very quickly and keeps the water temperature. Perfect.

  • Great chiller for a great price...don't let the negative reviews dissuade you!
I see a lot of reviews here from unhappy customers complaining about this chiller overloading their electrical circuits. They seem not to realize that the maximum current rating is listed right here on the product listing, and if they can't figure out how not to overload a circuit, that isn't a defect in this product, nor is it the company's fault. Receiving 1-star ratings due to user error is ridiculous. Pros: I bought the 160-L version, and I think it's fantastic. I grow cannabis hydroponically (specifically using Deep Water Culture), where the water reservoir needs to stay below ~72 degrees Fahrenheit to keep the root zone free of harmful bacteria. My plants were nearly killed by root rot more than once, but since adding this chiller to my system I haven't had any problems. It keeps the ~80-L reservoir as cold as I'd like—I keep it set to 13.5 degrees Celsius (56.3 degrees Fahrenheit), which usually results in a temperature reading of ~60 degrees Fahrenheit at the root zone. This is within the advertised uncertainty when also factoring in the First Law of Thermodynamics (the chiller intake and return are at the bottom of the reservoir, where the temperature is the lowest). For this reason, you should always measure the actual temperature of the water depending on the location of the intake and return are, but in general this chiller does exactly what you ask. The construction is solid, and the parts most people will need come with the purchase, including a hose, pipe fittings, o-rings, a submersible pump, etc. Personally, I wanted maximum flow through the largest possible cross-section, and it was fairly simple to remove the 3/8" fittings and replace them with 1/2" fittings (and matching tubing) that don't restrict flow at all. I imagine that full cooling may take even less time than the advertised cooling curves if you also choose to upgrade to 1/2". I also bought a separate pump to use inline rather than the less powerful submersible pump included, but I did test the included pump and it worked just fine. When trying to force less pliable tubing onto the new fittings I ended up hearing a super loud, metallic bang of internal parts, which resulted in an annoying clicking noise for the next few days. Eventually the noise went away, which seems to me to be a reflection of the resilience of this chiller. Customer service was top notch as well. They kept me appraised of every step of the (shorter than expected) overseas shipping journey, from confirmation of the regional electrical specifications to questions about changing the size of the pipe fittings. The representatives of the company were thoughtful, sincere, and always there to answer your questions or address any problems. Cons: Admittedly, the complaints about the instructions being useless are valid; however, there are also clear instructions on this product page. It's also slightly inconvenient to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit, but complaining about that is incredibly lazy. You only need to do the conversion once, provided you aren't constantly changing the desired temperature. The message on the screen is written only with Chinese characters, but honestly it hardly matters what it says given the simplicity of operation, the small number of buttons to press, and the brief amount of time the message is shown when setting the desired temperature. --- My chiller has been running nonstop for over a month now, and it's my opinion that you should look no further to get a quality chiller for a bargain. While it isn't perfect, I think it's worth 5/5 stars nonetheless. ... show more

  • good so far, works for my axolotl tank!
I’ve had this chiller running since mid April set at 62-64 degrees and it’s still doing very well. never had issues with keeping the water at my desired temperature setting, even on days where it’s over 100 degrees outside. it’s very quiet and non-disruptive. sometimes I don’t even know it’s on and I have it in my room! only complaint is when air gets trapped inside after being off for maintenance, it makes a very weird sound, but is easy to get rid of for the most part. hopefully it keeps working after some more months have passed. definitely worth purchasing especially considering the price! ... show more

  • Chiller
I’ve been running this for a few months now and it works great. I have it on a 40 gallon tank and it does exactly what it says it does with that being said do not use the rubber hose that comes with it. We started seeing stuff in our tank and couldn’t figure out what it was at first ended up ended up being the rubber hose Started like flaking off into the tank from the inside of the rubber hose. It was weird. Have anybody else had this problem? ... show more
