Features

  • Well for 42 inch Long Fish Tanks -- Calculate for the rectangular tank: (42'' L x 12'' W x 19'' H)/231=42 gallon, our water chiller can drop water temperature up to 10F in general. In hot summer, recommended water volume is 80%, 33 gallons.
  • Upgraded Accessory -- The new water pump features a stainless steel shaft, thicker wires, and American standard plugs. Additionally, two types of water pipe clamps have been added to help you secure the water pipe in the fish tank, making it look more beautiful and less likely to blow up sediment at the bottom.
  • Essential for Hydroponics and Aquarium -- High-efficiency freon free compressor provides more rapid and stable cooling than small fans, using r290 refrigerant, circulating cooling without pollution and do not need to be supplemented. Can well control the ideal water temp at 68-78F/20-26C, necessary for creating healthy roots and a good harvest
  • Tips in Summer -- The standard water volume is 42gal, expecially in hot summer the indoor temperature is too high, the recommended water volume is less than 33gal, the cooling effect will be GREATLY affected by the ambient temperature.
  • Fast Heat Dissipation -- Two built-in fans and a large number of heat dissipation holes on both sides of the machine provide powerful ventilation to dissipate compressor heat well, ensuring compressor can work efficiently for all day long. Note there must be a space of 6''/15cm around the chiller for enough air circulation and efficient cooling
  • Keep Your Coral Reef Alive -- Inner pure titanium evaporator ensures that the chiller has effective corrosion resistance while achieving the most effective heat exchange, for both fresh and salt water, can fully meet the sensitive temp needs of your coral farming
  • One Year Warranty -- BAOSHISHAN take the responsibility of one year warranty for this water chiller, please dont worry, you only need to enjoy the convenience it brings

  • Quiet and efficient chiller for 32g reef tank!
I purchased this chiller for $269 when a $25 off coupon was available. I'm using this on my 32G Biocube Reef tank set between 74*-76*. It took about an hour and a half to bring it down from 80* to 74*. This is very quiet! I can't even tell it's running over the background noise from the fan for LED's in the hood or the water trickling through the filters in the back. On the box it specifically states to let it sit upright for 24hrs before turning it on. The user manual does not mention this. Make sure you let it sit 24hrs. I hooked up the pump and hoses to the chiller at the kitchen sink and ran a vinegar solution through the entire system and then flushed everything with RO/DI saltwater. I plumbed the lines to the tank, plugged in the water pump to circulate water and make sure there were no leaks while the chiller sat for 24hrs. 24hrs later, no leaks, plugged in the chiller, programed the set points and let it go to work. Note: The listing says this uses r290 refrigerant while the user manual says this unit and other variations from this manufacturer use R134a refrigerant. There is no label on the outside of the chiller stating which refrigerant is used. ... show more

  • Great for reef tank
I bought this because of my 14g biocube saltwater tank kept getting to 81 degrees with the lid closed. I plumbed it into the factory filter and have it set for 77 degrees. +-2. Works great! When it turns on at 78 it runs for less than a minute. It probably turns on every 20 minutes. My house is kept at 75 also. When it’s running it only pulls less then 100 watts. ... show more

  • Read this for assembly and setup instructions!!
This is a long review, but I want it to be as informative as possible. I spent a LOT of time researching and comparing aquarium chillers, and I couldn't find much online about this product. Purchased to keep my Axolotl cool during the New England spring/summer. I have literally only had this chiller running for 10 minutes and will update my review once I've had some time to see it in use, HOWEVER. I spent embarrassingly too long trying to figure out how to get this thing properly set, so I'm posting exactly what needs to be done during the initial setup to hopefully save someone else some time that I lost. I'll give my initial impressions as well. PROS: -Quiet; Sounds like a mini fridge or quiet bathroom fan while it's running. -Easy to assemble and comes with everything I need to get it started. Other chillers I looked at were more expensive and required separate purchases (pump, hoses) to install. -Packaged very carefully and had no issues with broken/faulty parts. CONS: -As others have mentioned, the instruction manual is garbage. The Amazon product page is more helpful than the manual. -No other cons yet, will add more if I need to later on. To assemble: 1. After unboxing everything, cut the included hose to length/in half for the input and output hoses. 2. Attach one end of one hose to the the included submersible pump, and suction cup to the inside aquarium wall. I attached it to the wall as high up as I could while still fully under water, because I figured that the warm water rises to the top. DO NOT PLUG IN YET. 3. Attach the other end of the pump's hose to either of the ports on the top of the chiller, as well as one of the ends of the second hose you cut, to the second port. The instruction manual does cover this part well so follow that with a screwdriver in hand. 4. Place the second hose's end in the tank for the cool water outlet. 5. Plug in the pump to ensure that the hose connections on the top of the chiller don't leak. If they do leak, you may need to hand tighten the metal hose clamps further with your screwdriver. 6. After ensuring that there are no leaks, attach the chiller cord and power it on, flipping the red switch on the back if the screen doesn't turn on. Setting the temperature: 1. Check the temperature in your tank with a separate thermometer and convert to celsius if needed. 2. Ensuring that the current water temp matches the reading on the chiller: If the temperature listed on the screen is off from the actual water temperature, press and hold the SET button until the screen shows F1. Press the up arrow to show F2, then SET once more to select. Adjust that number to the number of degrees (in celsius) that the chiller is off by. Mine was off by 1.5c. Press RET to save. 3. Set desired water temperature: Press SET once without holding, to set your desired water temperature. For my Axolotl, I set it to 17c (62.6f). Press RET to save. 4. Last step. Set the "kick-on" temperature: Press and hold SET again to show F1 on the screen. Release and press SET again to select. The number you're adjusting here is how many degrees above your desired temperature that you would like the chiller to turn back on. Press RET to save. I set mine to 1.0, which means once the temperature rises 1 degree celsius above my desired temperature, the chiller will turn back on to cool it back down. (For me, setting mine to 17 celsius with a 1 degree kick-on, the chiller will cool the water to 62.6f and turn off, but if the water rises above 64.4f it'll kick back on to cool it back down.) You can set this margin as high or low as you'd like, from what I've seen. In the time it took me to write this post, about 40 minutes, my 20 gallon tank has lowered from 72f to 65f. I'm very pleased with this chiller so far! ... show more

  • The jury is out!
I bought this to replace a JBL chiller that only lasted 4 years…it was used but I was told it was less than a year old when I purchased it. I have a 29 g tank for an axolotl, I keep the tank at 64 degrees. So far the chiller is working great but my concern is that I’m over working it. I have it set to chill to 63 and to start cooling at 65. My room temp is 70-72. So far it cools for about 4 min and shuts off for 12-14 min. Seems like my tank temp should take longer to drop than 12-14 min. Wish I bought the protection plan from Amazon. Also sucks that I paid $340 for it and it is now on sale for $299 with an additional $20 off coupon. I have had it a little over a week…they should have some sort of money back if purchase in the last so many days. Anyway, I don’t know too much about chillers and the ins and outs of them but I thought I bought the correct size but now I’m wondering if I should have gone up a size. Time will tell. I plan on writing updates on this purchase so stay tuned…. ... show more
