Features

  • [Constant Stable Temperature]--Pure titanium evaporator achieves the most efficient heat exchanging, corrosion resistant, for both fresh and salt water. The temperature of the AL-300L chiller can be well controlled at 68-79F/20-26C, the ideal temperature range for your aquarium or hydroponics system.
  • [High-efficiency Freon Free Compressor]--This 75gal aquarium chiller adopts a energy-saving refrigeration compressor, using r134a refrigerant, circulating cooling without pollution and do not need to be supplemented.
  • [Built-in Fan for Fast Cooling]--The two built-in fans can dissipate compressor heat well, so that the compressor can work efficiently for a long time. In addition, there are a large number of heat dissipation holes on both sides of the chiller, so there must be a space of 6 inch/15cm around the chiller to ensure good air circulation.
  • [Safety Protection Function ]--The water cooler is equipped with an overcurrent automatic shutdown protection system and a power-off temperature memory system. After powering off and restarting, the chiller will continue to cool according to the original set temperature.
  • [One Year Warranty]--BAOSHISHAN take the responsibility of one year warranty for this water chiller, please dont worry, professional and friendly after-sales team will help you solve any problem, and you only need to enjoy the convenience it brings.

  • Good performance so far for the money
I've only had this for about a week but so far it has done it's job and I will update after a few months use. Using this with a 50 gallon reef tank with a 15-20 gallon sump so maybe 70 gallons total. I bought this because my tank almost had a full crash when water temps reached 85°. It gets hot here in Texas and having the AC on low all day when I'm not home is just not cost effective. This chiller should pay for itself within a few months if I add up how much it would cost to run the AC. Optimal temp for my tank is 78°. With this unit you can set a temp range so that it cools to a certain temp and then will shut off until the temp reaches a tolerance that you set. I have a two degree tolerance set so I've set the thermostat to 77° (converting from celsius). This means it will run until the tank temp reaches 77° and shut off and then as the water begins to warm it will come back on at 79° and cool to 77°. This way the unit is not constantly running. The two holes at the top of the unit are interchangeable in that either one can be used for inlet and outlet. The unit itself does not have an internal pump so they provide you with an external one to circulate the water. I have the pump in the drain compartment of my sump and the outlet hose in the return compartment. This seems to be enough separation so that it's not cooling water that's already cool. You get enough 1/2" hose to run two 5' runs and two hose clamps. Make sure you leave plenty of empty space around the unit to provide good air circulation. The air coming out of the back is quite warm as it is the heat being pulled from the water. Cool air comes in through the sides. Also don't forget to calibrate the thermostat per the instructions by using a reliable thermometer to measure your tank water and adjusting the unit accordingly. Mine was off by about 2° but was really corrected. ... show more

  • literal life saver!
i got this around 2 months ago and have had no issues with it, pretty easy setup. i have a 40 gallon fresh water tank with an axoltol and honestly it has been a life saver, litterally. today, i forgot to turn my ac on and my room got up to 100°F and if i didn't have this chiller my axolotl would be dead. if you live in an area where it gets very hot in the summers, you need this. it really will save your tank, i used to just put ice in the tank for a quick fix but nothing lasted. this will make sure your water temp never gets too hot, and it'll save you the stress of worrying about your pets while you're away! really worth the money ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THIS!!
ETA: I was supposedly getting help from Amazon, who told me to re-purchase the item and then they would refund that once it arrived. I was assured that there was a note in my file explaining that I was to get a refund for the $450 purchase. However, when I reached out, they rescinded that offer and said they won't be refunding me. I just spent ANOTHER $450 on this chiller, and now I have to return it and wait weeks to get THAT refund from Amazon. In other words, once you're out of the basic Amazon return window, even if it is a very expensive product that should withstand much more than a year of basic use, they will NOT help you! So, again, DO NOT BUY THIS!! Honestly, with Amazon's awful response, I highly recommend going to the actual manufacturer of a better brand instead of purchasing through Amazon. It's what I plan to do. This will work... for a while. Then it stops working, leaving your animals stressed and at risk of death!! At one point, about 7 months into owning this chiller, it suddenly dropped from 62 degrees (F) all the way down to 44!!! My poor axolotls were frozen, and I was afraid they wouldn't make it. Thankfully they did. Now, just as I've hit the one year mark (conveniently where their warranty ceases), the chiller has stopped working two additional times. It has the lights on and is reading 63 degrees, but it is 74 degrees in the tank! It did this a week and a half ago, and I sat down and re-calibrated the machine, got it chilling again, and now it's back to being broken. For over $400, this should NOT be breaking less than a year of use!!! Absolutely a waste of money, and now I can't even find any information on customer service so I can share these issues. This was for my axolotls in my classroom, so guess what teacher now has to drop hundreds of additional dollars on ANOTHER chiller out of pocket because this company couldn't be bothered to make a quality item. ... show more

  • Incredible little Machine!
I have a very large fresh water aquarium and I needed a cooler/chiller for a 100/125 gallon tank. This chiller was rated for only 75 gallons, but it worked just fine for me! Weather gets around 84 degrees where I live and this chiller kept my water around 76 degrees very easily. My only gripe is that this is a made in China product, so I don't know if it will last very long. Anyways, I very much recommend it for anyone using a 50-125 gallon tank. And I would get the 1/4 over the 1/2 ho which is a very useless product. Looking at power ratings it's like a 5-10% difference over the 1/4 hp. So get either 1/4 or a 1 HP if you need more power. ... show more

  • Great product, and great customer service
I use this for my 55 gallon aquarium, housing Goldfish and a Pleco. Before I got this the aquarium temperature would range between 70 & 80+ degrees. With this chiller the temperature is maintained at between 69 & 71 degrees. I've only been using it for a few days, but it's doing what I need perfectly. This one was purchased from the company in used "Very good" condition, it had a broken pieces that was replaced quickly by the seller. Great customer service and support. I definitely recommend both the product, and the seller. 🐠 🐟 ... show more

  • Very quiet cooling system
I like how quiet this is I thought I was going to have to find ways to dampen any possible noise, but this is very quiet. The seller is very responsive and easy to work with. I am using this on a 55 gal salt water aquarium

  • Good until it wasn’t
The machine has worked well for one full year. It cooled, it did its job. Now it is making so much noise, it is shaking our house. We had to pull it apart and look around and it isn’t obvious. Who does one even call?
