The media could not be loaded. I’ve been running this thing for about 12 hours now on my 18-gallon hydroponic/aeroponic tote, and I gotta say, ZERO leaks. Not a drip. Not a damp spot. I know how big that is when you’re running water 24/7 so I had to start with that. I set my temps to target 65°F and trigger at 68°F and it works exactly how I hoped. Most of the time it floats right around 67, which is totally fine for me. It keeps the water cool and keeps my roots happy. I’ve looked over and seen it at 65 or 66 a few times too so it’s definitely doing its job. Again no leaks at all. ZERO. Now here’s something important: follow the instructions on the box!!! If it says “do not turn it on for 24 hours” and keep it upright , do that! There’s a reason and you don’t want to ruin your unit by being impatient. As for the pump that comes with it, I did some digging and it’s only pushing about 158 GPH. Not great, especially if you’re trying to keep steady flow. I ended up switching to my Knifel 300 GPH submersible pump and the difference was night and day. Way better circulation for chilling and spraying. To protect my investments I wrap every pump I use with a foam filter, zip tie (snug not tight), then cover it with a paint strainer bag, zip tie that shut, and boom! No clogs in my sprayers or pump. Peace of mind. Install was simple. Everything worked like it should, no crazy mods or special tools needed. And now that I’ve seen it in action, I gotta say, I LOVE IT If you’re on the fence, don’t be. I was skeptical too, but now I’m all in. This chiller is doing exactly what I needed and more. Just buy it. You’ll be glad you did. HURRY UP, what are you waiting for?????? 💚

Couldn’t be happier ! I got this chiller for my axolotl. It was very easy to hook up, the temperature is staying between the parameters that I set for 62 to 68° I have a 28 gallon long but I went for the 42 gallon unit so happy I did

This thing does the job. That said, I have the ice bath from Costco that is about 111g I believe so this machine took about a day to cool it down to 50 degrees. Mind you, I have not set it much lower than that so not sure how that holds up. Getting into cold plunge and so far it’s been good. I can tolerate 50 so I’m happy with that setting. I showed some pics of my set up. I live where the humidity is almost above 50% daily and even into the 80s and 90s. For a smaller ice bath it may chill sooner obviously but I opted for this one due to the price point. If you can afford the ½hp chiller then do that. It’s easy to set up and adjust your settings. It does let off a decent amount of heat from the rear vents so keep that in mind if you are keeping it indoors. Don’t put it too close to any walls or anything that could get damaged from the heat. It’s not super hot and can touch the back without burning your hand. It’s warm air. It’s pretty quiet so that’s not an issue. Decently priced in my opinion but I have only used this one. I have been using this for about two weeks now and I enjoy it. I will upgrade the pump it came with though and use bigger tubing. That could help chill it faster a bit. Otherwise, it does the job and I like it.

The product description lists R290 refrigerant, however the booklet that was included with the unit says R134a -- a cheaper, less efficient refrigerant. Also, Amazon product listing shows 300W for the unit, and I have measured the power consumption to be just over 200W using a plug-in watt-meter. Even if you add the water pump (12W), it is nowhere near 300W advertised. As the result, the chiller struggles to maintain 40F degrees in 60-70F ambient air temp, running 24 hours a day nonstop. On the plus side, you can set the target temperature all the way down to 32F, but at this rate it will probably die in a couple of months before it ever gets anywhere close. Completely useless if you need it to keep your cold plunge below 40F.

Works great. Fairly quiet. Warm air is dispersed from the back of the unit so I had to change my set up a little (I mean, warm air next to the tank I’m trying to cool isn’t a good idea). Cools the water quickly and has kept it in perfect range so far (I’ve only had it installed for 1 week).

Highly recommend. We have an uninsulated Ice Pod and in 97+ degree Texas heat, this cooler can keep the water temp in the low 40's easily. It did take it 1.5 days to cool the water down initially, though once there, the unit can keep it cold - within +- 5 degrees of your setting. I am happy that I saved 700+ dollars by making this purchase as it meets our needs on a budget!
