  • Perfect for my 30gal tank
Size: Small 480 GPH
Suction to glass was perfect, once you clip it on the glass you have like 1 minute to move it around easily before it really locks in place really firm. The flow generated by just one is perfect for stirring up the substrate from poop and other elements so the filter will pick them up, with the both creating the perfect circular movement it amazing now I don’t need to really vacuum the sand, I have a 30gallon freshwater tank with 8 glow tetras and 8 zebra/leopard danios, with some live plants and a 700 plen plqx canister filter. When both power heads are one it does blow the fish around a bit but they can go with the flow and still looks happy I only turn these on like 2 times a week to keep things clean and only for an hour or two until everything stirs up and then get clean. They are quite as well. Good performance, suction is perfect and strong, and very small in size, perfect strong current water movements. ... show more

  • Use these correctly
Size: Small 480 GPH
The media could not be loaded. A lot of people don’t understand what these are for learn on YouTube first the pros and cons. Personally they help move the water so the tank stays clean substrate is an option for me it’s a personal choice not to have any. Now the real reason I ordered these I have fish that end up with alot of extra energy this can cause them to get aggressive. With the wave maker it gets them to work off that extra energy. Now just Becuz u get two doesn’t mean u need to use them both every tank is different. With one I was able to get things perfect with both on it was over kill when u install them watch ur tank for 30 mins if u see your fish struggling to swim or get pulled in to the currents it’s too strong ... show more

  • one good, one bad
Size: Small 480 GPH
one pump was quiet as a mouse, the other, not so much. when i got them i tested in my sink first, the noisy one I decided to open up and pull out the propeller. upon opening, a little white ring also came with the shaft as I pulled it out, you can see in my photos. The pic marked with green circle is the way it's supposed to be. Going to try and exchange the one, but honestly, they didn't even stir my kitchen sink when both were on. in the meantime, I'll see what the one will do in my 50g, freshwater tank. I'll update and rate up starts if I get the other one back and does what it says, or both are going back for a better product.. UPDATE 4/5/22: I ended up fixing the broken pump myself, just used a bit of Loctite gel super glue (yes it's rated tops for use in aquarium) and has been working just fine. Using 1 pump, near top, aimed at surface for oxygen, and the other on the opposite side, but at the bottom to push the poo and food into my 2 filters. So far, so good. Plenty of power to push the water thru 50g tank. I added a new photo to show set-up, gets good flow and keep my tank pretty clean. This picture was taken after a 30-40% water change, so water is still a little clouded.. ... show more

  • Strong and quiet
Size: Small 480 GPH
This is a great wave maker, but it was way too powerful for my situation. I put just one of them in a 30-gallon tall aquarium, and it really moved the surface of the water as well as moving debris off the bottom, but my fancy guppies hid in the shelter of the tank decor. When they did enter the wave current they looked like they were being thrown across the tank. I replaced it with something much weaker -- a little pump that was just 80 GPH seems just right in there to agitate the surface of the water (though it won't do much to clean the bottom...I think I will add another weak pump on the bottom). ... show more
