  • Vortex like

If you don't want a strong current use only one. Depends on size of thank. I got them for a 20 gallon long and if I run both at the same time current is super strong, so I have them on timers ⏲️ 30 min alternation. Suction cup It's strong

  • Shipped used product, otherwise ok.
Size: 480 GPH
I bought six of these, all worked fine. The only problem I had was one unit had a suction cup that failed. It's been several months and all are still working. The last pair I ordered had only one unit that was very used and not even the same model. Others have reported the same problem. Anyway I sent it back with a note stating the above. It seems the distributer isn't checking their returns before putting them back in stock. ... show more

Works as they should. Sent out fast and with care. Great to make waves for your fish to play in or just move water around in your take and get it all clean :)

  • One is noisy, both are strong, still cloudy
Size: 480 GPH
Came with zero instructions. I had experimented with both of the wave makers in the sink before putting them in the tank. I noticed one was noisy, and both did the reverse thing others mentioned, but mostly the noisy one. By noisy, I mean a persistent buzzing that's too annoying to take all the time. When I first installed my Fluval 207 filter, the water was crystal clear until I went and cleaned the thing for the first time (it wasn't broke, shouldn't have fixed it). Ever since I've been trying everything I can think of to get that clear of water again. The water is not *super* cloudy, but it's just not crystal clear like before. I have a 29 gallon tank with 3 largish fish. I added one of the wave makers to the tank (top above the intake) in hopes that it would do the trick given that they are intended for larger tanks. No luck. My fish were either delighted or slightly freaked out by the waves since they are strong. At least it gave them something new to do. Next day I added the second one to the bottom on the opposite side of the tank from the first wave maker. My fish did not realize it was hurricane season. At first I had the second wave maker positioned so that it acted as a leaf blower to the substrate rocks; it's that powerful. It did stir up a bit of yuck that way, which the fish were happy to eat or attempt to eat. I angled the wave maker up a bit, but eventually got tired of the constant buzzing noise and unplugged it. I think my fish were happy about the unplugging, too, the second one was a bit much for them. To summarize: I'm glad I got the two pack so that at least one of them worked properly. They are very powerful and probably better for a larger tank (knew that going into it) Whatever my cloudy-ish water issue is, these didn't fix the problem. ... show more

  • Great value
Size: 480 GPH
Do the job I need to move water in my tank. So far so good.

  • Barely causes a stir
Size: 480 GPH
Tried to trust the other reviews but this is trash, go with anything else. If you want water movement this is not the product ❌ if you want a chunk of plastic that barely causes a stir then it's perfect
