Description
Sponge filter uses bubbles of air from an external air pump, or an integral water pump to draw water through the sponge. The sponge need to be rinsed about every 2 to 4 weeks. It’s helpful to wash the sponge gently with water from the fish tank instead of tap water. It is good to replace the sponge after 3 to 6 months’ usage as the holes of sponge is gradually clogged by the tiny debris. Great for tanks up to 10Gal. 2 inches in diameter and 4.75 inches in height. Constructed with detachable parts allows you to easily take it apart for cleaning or replacement.
