does not protect from sharp rocks. after a few days, the felt like fiber moves and exposes the rock. need to use proper thick rubber under.

Great quality. Doesn't look thick but gives the bottom of the pool a nice soft feel and hides small imperfections of the pool base (sand pad). I found it very easy to remove the wrinkles from our 16ft pool liner. This was my first experience setting up a pool so I can't say for sure if this pad is what made the liner smoothing so easy but I did read some reviews stating as much when trying to decide which pad to buy. We are installing a pond and one of the items needed was a liner under the rubber lining. This product is quite thick and will be perfect for our needs. It is a thick fabric lining that is about 15 feet across. It can actually be molded into the shape we needed for the pond. It is actually for lining under a pool and is meant to cushion the pool as well as keep weeds at bay. It will actually allow water to drain through it so that there would be no puddles left, if used as a pool liner. In our case, this does exactly what we needed it for and am pleased that we decided to place the order. It arrived in a large box and was quite heavy. Well, being 15 feet across and quite thick, heavy is to be expected. It is very workable for the job we did and under a pool would be simple to install. This ground cover ended up being exactly what we needed when we had to re-level the area for our pool from last year. It laid flat really easily and didn’t shift or blow around while we were setting everything else up, which was a huge plus on a windy day. So far, it’s holding up great with no signs of grass poking through, which is honestly impressive considering how persistent our yard can be with the blue grass and clovers. It also adds a nice layer of protection between the pool and the ground that gives a little peace of mind. The material feels durable but flexible enough to work with if you need to adjust.
