I've tried several different sprinklers, and none of them worked well for me. They didn't cover enough area, were cheaply made and broke, and/or were so lightweight that they were difficult to set in place. THIS sprinkler is just what I wanted and needed--WORKS GREAT, is well made, and heavy enough to be able to easily set in place. I can water a much larger area at one time than I could before, and the water is like gentle rain on my plants, instead of a harsh stream beating at them. I can adjust the angle of the spray, so that it covers either a wider, or narrower area. I was so happy with this product that I ordered another, so I have one for my front yard and one for the back. It's saved me a lot of time, since I no longer have to water with a sprayer, dragging the house around the yard! One of my best purchases on Amazon. ... show more

We bought this to use outside our townhome on our side lawn and small backyard. It works quite well but it's certainly not perfect. We don't use a regular hose with it, as they get too many kinks and tangles. We use one of those new-fangled stretchy hoses designed by NASA scientists and Harvard college grads, you know, the ones that don't kink up. It attaches quite firmly once I figured out how to screw it on properly, it wasn't that easy! It's lightweight, so it doesn't balance too well on uneven lawn. You just have to find the right spot to sit it so it sprays evenly. At full pressure it covers about 15 feet in forwards and backwards, providing you use the little sliders on the hose attachment to tell it where to water. It covers roughly 12 to 15 feet wide and is good for watering square and rectangle areas. My only issue is that it can be a royal pain to get the precise pressure just perfect so it doesn't water the front door and side of the house. Or the backyard fences. The pressure is so touchy on that thing, it either doesn't spray enough, but with a slight adjustment on the tap it sprays too far and can be very frustrating. I've even come back 30 minutes later to see the pressure drop considerably but that may be due to the hose we're using. One night the pressure went from high to zero in about 10 seconds on our old hose. After scratching my head trying to figure out the pressure drop, I removed the hose to find a toad had made a home inside the hose and had been blasted through into the sprinkler filter! Poor thing. After that it worked just fine again. Overall a nice sprinkler which we will keep using in the future, despite the minor gripes. PROS: It's compact, looks nice and does the job. The spray adjustors work perfectly for both directions so you can tailor it to your needs. Super quiet when in use. CONS: Very light and sometimes hard to place where it will spray evenly. Can be annoyingly hard to adjust to and maintain the perfect water pressure. ... show more

I've had many different sprinklers including Ray Paula's and melnors etc with much disappointment. Especially the Ray Padula which was supposed to be the best but was absolute junk. I was so frustrated with it I literally smashed it on my driveway. I have bought Sun Joe products before and have to say they are really impressive so I gave this a try. First off, the base is SOLID. The rest of the unit seems ok but only time will tell on its longevity. 2nd it has great range and sprays a very precise pattern. The pattern controls are very smooth and easy to adjust without having to lift it off the grass. Nice! 3rd..the hose connection seems solid and hooks up nicely with no leaks. 4th..area control is a bit tricky if you want to spray a narrow area,...say the strip between the sidewalk and curb for example. On max pressure it will only hold a straight pattern of around 12ft wide. You can turn the pressure down yes, but then you lose the length of your spray pattern. Not a big deal but if you have a smaller lawn it may be a bit annoying. If you have a large lawn...this thing is beast! By FAR the best range by any sprinkler ive ever owned and absolutely no sticking or stopping during spray cycle. I am a lawn nut and am always buying different "toys" to help my obsession. This is a winner in my book. This is a real review and I have NOT been payed for any endorsement btw. I will update if I have any future issues but as of now I'm very happy with this sprinkler. The media could not be loaded. This is literally the best rotation sprinkler I ever bought. This is a metal based sprinkler so it will last, unlike the cheap plastic ones (I love the color too). Others have that side dial direction adjuster that you can barely turn and this one is a simple slider that is so easy and it gives you more control over how far you want it to go. Others just give you the option of left, right, center, etc. And starts to leak. This one gives you a more detailed option because it has two adjustment sliders. You can literally adjust it to any way you want. Its a smooth action, no tight dial that leaks and doesnt want to turn. I will NEVER go back to the cheap, plastic, round dial adjustment sprinklers again! I'm getting another one for the other side of the house. ... show more

Previously had a spinning sprinkler that leaked water and only covered a small area. Aqua Joe sprinkler is the best quality. It covers a large area with a wide fan of water and it's adjustable. Highly recommended!
