We've entrusted our home security to Wyze for several years now, and their products have yet to disappoint! Not sure why we didn't purchase this sooner, as we have almost all of the products they offer, many of them being pre-ordered, to ensure we received them promptly upon their release! With that being said, The Wyze Video Doorbell has been a fantastic addition to our system! Installation was truly a breeze. Within minutes, we had the doorbell up and running. The video quality has drastically improved over the years. The picture is incredibly vivid and clear! The wide field of view is also a huge plus, capturing a much broader area! The best part is the ability to speak through the app, even when we're not home! My only complaint is there is no option for permanent storage, unless you go in and manually save the footage, it is lost after a short time. Overall, we would recommend the Wyze Doorbell for anyone looking for reliable and affordable home security! ... show more

Have had mine up a year now and am very happy with it . I would make sure to hard wire it , if you have much car or foot traffic though. I was having to charge it every few days. Performance is great, clear video and night vision along with two way sound.

    • Can’t go wrong with Wyze!
For price and features, I don’t think this camera can be beat. You can make it all local or join their service for added AI assisted bells and whistles. I love it. The door gets a lot of traffic so even though it’s processing a lot of alerts, battery life is measured in weeks… which is awesome, because I don’t have wired power to the porch except for the porch light. Video quality and night vision are great. It faces east so it gets direct sunlight which some video doorbells struggle with. This still works great and aetup couldn’t be easier. I have only one complaint. It doesn’t really work with Google Home. It shows up there but you can’t do anything with it. I bought it specifically for this feature… but I liked the other functions so much I kept it anyway and just use their app… which is very usable. ... show more

I love this Wyze battery doorbell cam! It is a game changer for monitoring the front porch and entryway. I am a disabled man and cannot get to the door quickly at all. With this camera, I can see, speak to and hear whoever is at the door. I can let them know I'll be at the door in a few minutes or that I'm not interested if it is a solicitor. You would also be amazed how often Amazon delivery drivers mishandle and or throw your packages onto the porch! After charging the battery, the installation took about 5 minutes! The only downside, and it's pretty bad compared to the description, the battery life is only 2 weeks MAX! That's a far cry from 6 months! That is also on power save mode. It is a bit of a hassle to charge the battery that often surprisingly! ... show more

EDIT 10/3/25 After having this thing for around 9 months, I'm retracting my four-star review and giving it one-star. The battery life is erratic. Sometimes it lasts 2 weeks, sometimes it struggles to last 4 days. It often disconnects from the WiFi or the app. I often have to delete the entire doorbell from my Wyze account and set up from scratch to get it to connect again. It's very frustrating and never works like it should. I have a lot of Wyze products I really like, but this doorbell is awful. Get a Blink or Ring instead. _____ Original review: I had a package stolen off my porch and decided to get a video doorbell as a deterrent. I've been happy with my other Wyze camera for years, so I thought I'd give their video doorbell a try. Since my front door doesn't have a spot for wiring, I needed a battery-powered option. Installation was simple with the sticky tape. This model doesn't support an SD card, so I paid $20 for the Pro account to get AI features and additional storage. It's much cheaper than other camera plans out there. There's also a free tier with notifications, but it's limited. Initially, I had some issues where I had to keep resetting my router because the doorbell wouldn't connect. After a week or two, that problem seemed to go away. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it. The video quality is good, and I get instant notifications on my phone whenever someone walks on my porch or delivers a package. There are plenty of options to personalize your notification and recording settings. The only thing I don't like is the inflated claims about battery life. The description says "up to six months," but I got about a week out of it at first. To be fair, I live on a busy street with lots of foot and car traffic. I emailed customer support and asked about settings to improve battery life, like changing which events trigger notifications, making the detection zone smaller, and setting detection sensitivity to low. After making those changes, I now get about 2-3 weeks between charges. It takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery. While 2-3 weeks isn't awful, it's nowhere near six months. Again, if you live on a less busy street, you'd probably get better battery life. Most people in reviews claim 3 weeks to a month, so it's still absurd to claim six months. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the video doorbell. Just make sure to set your battery expectations to around a month. ... show more
