Very easy to install and keep the camera safe. it's a must have if you live in an apartment and don't want to drill into the door or wall to mount your camera. Fits the nest camera just fine and feels sturdy enough that it'll take a lot of effort for someone to take the camera.

1 star. Didn't come with enough screws. I had to source my own screws. 2x M4x12 screws and M4 nuts are what I used. I already had machine screw set sitting around but for those that don't, they might as well return this or they can see if they can find something at the hardware store. There seem to be a half baked implementation to the design. They implemented a useless locking mechanism similar to how the nest locks into its provided mount but it uses a Sim card style pin to do the unlocking. I imagine the piece that slides up and out was suppose to actually have some room for the screws. This is where the cover with the Nest doorbell would slide into and lock that way but the space is paper thin. The holes to mount the nest goes through the cover and then to the base so that literally defeats the purpose of the half baked locking mechanism. I had to put the screws in the provided wall attachment from the doorbell and only then I can secure the device down which is probably their last ditch thing cause they got tired of designing it. Also you can't use the Nest doorbell provided screws. They're either too long and for wood or too short and not stubby enough to bite into the plastic and no nuts to secure.

Our Google Nest doorbell kept falling off its original holder as the clip in the back was broken. Instead of buying a new doorbell, I decided to give this doorbell mount a try. Upon ordering it, I did not realize that this item only works with inward-opening doors, so I was unable to use it as intended since our door opens outwards. It was very easy to install by following the included instructions; however, I quickly realized that the clamp was hitting my door frame, and I couldn't close the door at all. But that's on me, since I didn't read the fine print when ordering. I just hope that my feedback can help other buyers make the right decision depending on their needs and type of door. The item is well-built and fits the Google Nest doorbell seamlessly and securely; the doorbell can only be removed by using a small pin-like key. Thankfully, the mount's holes for screws matched up with the spacing of the screws on the original doorbell mount. I was able to easily secure the mount on our outside wall, thus replacing the original mount that wasn't working for my doorbell. This was an affordable way to continue using my Nest doorbell without having to buy a new one.

I'd like to give it 4 stars but the plastic is fairly thin and flexible. Install wasn't all too difficult but the mount bracket has way too much flex to really secure it to the door. Stays in place thanks to the rubber mounts but the bracket really needs to be stronger to be considered "secure".

Material Quality: 20/20 Functionality: 18/20 Design: 20/20 This kit was very easy to assemble, and the design is genius. I thought at first it might have some flaw, but all the parts fit together like a puzzle to make a theft-proof design that is no less secure than the factory bracket. An interesting thing I noticed is that you can operate the camera while it is inside the plastic housing, so in theory you could use it anywhere. So I may use it for that, because unfortunately my door does not have a gap wide enough to fit the bracket. This is not a fault of the product--I don't think it could be thinner without being weak, but make extra sure that your door has enough clearance on the side (or that you can make a gap yourself) before you buy it. As far as I can tell it is a genius design and it should fit most doors.

This does not come with screws to actually secure the camera to the mount defeating its purpose you can just pop the front off and steal the camera with nothing behind it to hold it to the mount

Works well holding your wireless Nest doorbell to the door. No need for adhesives or a drill/screws, which might be problematic if you live in a rental property.

afaict, the camera just sits inside of an easily open external piece of plastic, which can be opened without even a special tool, so say goodbye to your $100+ camera , returning it , wasted my time. Not sure why this is being sold, unless I'm missing something
