This does not have a stop and start button on the handle. It has continuous steam. The plug does not go into the unit snugly, keeps popping out. Horrible design. The seller emailed me asking me to remove the review and I could keep the item. Beware

    • Powerful steam with some quirks
I got this to clean my gas stove which has years of accumulated baked on gunk that I have tried various methods of cleaning, including Barkeeper's Friend and the magic eraser, but it takes a lot of elbow grease and the result is still not satisfactory because it's hard to reach certain areas. This made quick work of the funk and I only needed to work up the excess water for clean up. Spurred by the results I decided to take my grill next. We often grill kalbi short ribs and the marinades are a pain to clean off. Extreme high heat and a steel brush will do a decent job and I tell myself some of the charred remains add to the flavor but if I'm honest I'd rather clean it all off. After taking inspiration from a stream cleaning grill brush I heated up the grill to cleaning temperature then sic'ed the steam cleaner at it, and I have to say I'm seeing the grill grates like I haven't seen in a while. No it didn't remove everything especially the stuck on bits on the underside of the grill, but it was able to reach some of the crevices the steel brush couldn't and I'm pretty happy with the results. I like that it comes with different brush heads, I used the steel one for the grill and the plastic one for the stove. But there are some quirks. First, when the machine first starts up you get a stream of water instead of steam so keep that in mind. Second, the wand nozzle has a habit of working itself loose mid application, leaking water onto whatever you're cleaning; I tried tightening it with a wrench but it was too easy to overtighten such that it's loose again. You have to tighten it just right. These detracted from the otherwise effective cleaning power, and I subtracted one star as a result. ... show more

Love this little steamer. Excellent and so fast. Heats up fast and cleans so well. Really quick and powerful. Removed the soap scum and buildup off my tub. 1 fault is that the nozzle attachment kept loosening up. That made it annoying to retighten and keep working to clean the tub.

    • Works well to get the grease out
This steam cleaner works well for my stove, grill, and car rims. The different brushes allow for use with different surfaces and the overall use is pretty easy. The only drawback is that you have to tighten it just right or there will be a small leak during use.

    • It cleaned everything that I used it on very well
The best thing about this product is that it cleans quickly and efficiently and I don't have to use much elbow grease. For the most part all I had to do was fill it up with water, wait less than a minute, point the steam at what I wanted to clean, and watch the dirt and grime disappear. After the item was clean I sometimes had to wipe up some water. I can't think of an easier way to clean other than hiring someone to do it for me. This steam cleaner is super easy to use. I used the steam cleaner on my shower, bath tub, toilet, bathroom and kitchen floors, sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, aluminum wheels on my vehicle, a gas grill, and a couple of other things in my garage. Everything that I used it on looks great now and I didn't have to exert much energy or time. Nothing will completely remove years, maybe decades, of dirt, grease, grime, mildew, etc. but this cleaner comes as close as many expensive tools and gadgets will. The cleaner has a few brushes that come with it and using those attachments really help in cleaning the stuck on muck and they did not scratch or mar any item that I used them on. There are 6 settings that can be used to increase the temperature of the water/steam which will help to better clean the extremely dirty items/areas. I did try each setting and once I went past 3 I could not tell any difference in the cleaning power of the steam. This steam cleaner can be plugged into a normal outlet without worry. To reach the 2500 watts that the cleaner claims would be pretty difficult so that is really a non-issue. I had no problems with the cord coming unplugged during use. I had no problems with the hose or any of the attachments. The cleaner will make noise when it is being used but it is not excessively loud by any means. The steam is very hot, obviously, and it would hurt if it makes contact with skin. There is a warranty with this item through the company that sells them and there is a card enclosed with the product that explains what you must do to activate it. Warranties generally make me feel better about purchasing a particular product. ... show more
