This anti theft mount fits the Google Nest Doorbell Battery model securely and the viewing angle is still clear with no obstruction. Installation is simple since it slides over the door and does not require drilling, which is great for apartments. Functionality is good and the doorbell stays stable when the door opens and closes. The anti theft design also adds a nice layer of protection. For the price, the value for money seemed strong at first. The downside is the fit. On my door, the metal edge of the mount makes contact with the door frame when the door swings open or shut. After using it a few times, I started noticing scratches on the frame. I tried adding a small felt pad to prevent the damage, but the added thickness made the mount too tight to close the door properly. Because of that, it is not a perfect solution if your door frame sits close to the door or has a tighter clearance. It can work well if your door has enough space on the hinge side, but customers should know that some doors may experience rubbing or damage from repeated use.

The idea behind this mount is great, but the durability isn’t there. Once I installed it, I noticed there’s a big gap between the door and the metal plate, and the screw is way longer than it needs to be. Because of that extra space, the metal can be bent from the outside pretty easily. If someone really wanted to, they could just pull on it and work the doorbell loose. It still holds the doorbell in place, but the whole “anti-theft” part doesn’t feel very convincing in real use. Definitely not as secure as advertised.
