I bought it to replace my media player PC. It really does the job. Together with the Kodi app and the add-ons and Geo relocating, I get my fill on British TV. The remote and the mini wireless keyboard works just fine from about 12. Feet away. I had trouble with the VLC media player finding media on added USB sticks but Kodi handles that just fine. The picture is fine, the sound via the optical connection into a amp/ receiver works fine. Best of all it says it's rooted! So any modders out there may find that a real bonus. Side loading apps is a real pain , but that is not because of the box. It's a real winner. I've been trying to replace my media PC with a fanless, low energy, fast startup device for 10 years. I needed something for traveling that I could hook up to the hotel/airbnb TV and stream or play media from a drive. And this fits the bill. it does it very well. If the gets stolen or damaged - no big deal, it is cheap. The interface could use some work, but gets the job done.

So far all the features are nice and work with my setup. It's better than using Roku or Samsung OS's for streaming. But any app or game that requires low input lag isn't usable for me. The unit does work as advertised. However it has malware that fortunately for me my router detects and keeps it from sending any information back to the manufacturer. So now I have to leave it off when I'm not using it cuz it attempts to connect to a foreign server every time I leave it on. So if security is an issue to you I wouldn't purchase it. ... show more
